Well just got back from my first sit of the year! I saw 23 doe and one 5 point buck. Most were out of range but 3 doe came in at 12 yards which is exactly where I wanted them. I went to shoot but when I pulled back my peep had turned and I couldn't see a thing out of it. I think the d loop moved or the string re-stretched, but in all honesty I have no clue. Ill be headed to the pro shop Tuesday to hopefully see what the problem is.

If it's not extremely twisted sometimes on mine I need to twist it a little before shooting. But it's no where near enough that can't see out of it if don't do it. It's so much of a habit now I just automatically do it each time before clip release on.

Hopefully it's not anything too bad

I've never had a problem with it before. I did get new strings but I put a few hundred shots in them and we all thought they were settled. Although I wasn't able to shoot it for 3 weeks so maybe that had something to do with it.

Yea like said hopefully it's not too serious, if it's never done it before then I'd say it little different then situation I got goin. Mine is more of a annoyance then a actual problem.

Should have just turned it with your nose to straighten it out to shoot!

Hey guys, sorry I've been out of sorts and off the map for awhile. It's been a hell of a month. Mom had to have knee surgery, Grandma passed away unexpectedly, grandpa tried his damnest to follow suit. So because of all that crap & extra crap going on at work I've only been out to sit 5 times thus far...definitely not my personal best by a long shot. However while sitting tonight I spot & stalked a huge matriarch doe. Happy for the opportunity for the experience 20141019_184121.jpg for sure & even happier for the help dragging this old slick head out of the woods!

Last night when I got back to my car, in the dark, I noticed my quiver was gone. I remember putting it on my bow. I hunt private so I knew it wouldn't disappear. I waited till 11:30 to go look for it today. I couldn't believe I found it 4 feet off the road. Lucky someone didn't spot it driving by.

Well i just got back from the pro shot and it seems like it was just as I thought. Turns out the d-loop moved a little so i might have to check that every time i'm in the stand. Hopefully those 3 doe come by my stand Sunday!

Looks like I'm gonna head out to the property Friday for the night, may end up hanging my LW up along a trail down from the feeder, all the 8 pointers have been moving along there. If not, Saturday morning I'll be in the stand on the creek trying for the old doe then a lunch break and get in the stand at the top of the draw where an 8 pointer has been hitting a homemade peanut butter/moleasses/salt lick around 5:30 pm the past few days. Hopefully I get my first archery deer this weekend, probably my only hunt before I move to TX.

Landowner wants me to shoot a cull buck, it basically has large spikes with a big mushroom knob on one side and looks to be a slight fork on left.....I'm torn because I'd like to get my first archery deer out on his land before I move, but he won't be worth squart for the contest. I may just skip that stand (this one is like clockwork daily hitting the spot) and sit elsewhere along a trail I know the bachelor group of the three 8 pointers are running. Rules are 8 point minimum and outside the ears, or a cull buck. No doe this year except for the old gal running around so not too many options. Guess I'll see how things go Saturday.
