You would think they'll be on the move chasing pretty soon. I hardly seen any deer sign at all this weekend. One scrape, but the trails seam to be dead. nearest corn is pretty good distance away this year. Don't know if that makes it worse? Only took few hours for yotes to find the gut pile. All my local trailcam pics are of deer cruising the trail that runs along the corn.

Thinking of giving my property a rest till I come back from Illinois the 2nd week in November. I'll be able to hunt almost every day from noon-5ish then during the rut. Also, any buck I shoot in Illinois will be my first buck of the season so that's definitely more points for the team over a RI buck!!!
Got my mount back today from 2013!! I'll post better pics once he is up on the wall

Nice. It looks a lot like my dads mount, nice and wide. I would rather have wide than tall. What is that, a rangers pic in the background? Yuck! LOL

    Looks awesome Swamp.

It's been cool and rainy around here so haven't been out much. Don't know if I'll make it out this weekend or not, got my little sisters wedding so that will take up most of the time

Thanks! The hockey pics are my sons pictures from his first season last year. My wife went overboard like she always does for him and spent nearly $500 in pictures and having them professionally framed.......ya my jaw hit the floor when she told me how much it costed.....somehow no words came out....which is rare for me! LOL

That's awesome man, Can't wait to hear about it!!

Getting out on Sunday for my first sit of the year. Sorry for my absence the last few days, I've been Salmon and Steelhead fishing the last few days.

^^^ It's ok this time, but for excusing you, you'll have to send me a couple pounds of fresh salmon!

Just a general question, If you are going to do an evening sit, what time do you get in the stand? I was thinking of watching most of the packer game and getting out around 3:00? Too late? Gets dark around 6:40.

I usually try to get out around 2-230. Try to give myself at least 3-3.5 hours of time before sunset.

547 pics on the trail cam when I pulled the card this morning. Several of some raccoons and possum, several of a doe with a spotted fawn, two different smaller non-shooter bucks, a spike, and an old doe that the landowner wants taken. Looks like the old nag is on the list for opening day.
