I was wondering where you were!! I usually see you on here alot!

Finally got my RI tags in today!! This weekend is the junior bonus weekend for hunters 12-14. I was thinking of getting my son on a doe, but it's gonna be to warm, mid 80's and humid all weekend.

Well gonna be hot tomorrow and still have the stitches but I can't sit around anymore, so range first thing in the morning to finish sighting in the Tommy Hogg then scout the spot on the WMA later in the day!

I need to run by the shop this weekend, dang peep still has a twist to the left so it's not sitting centered for me. Gotta get my buddy to toss it in the press and twist the string to fix it. It's annoying! It's about to start raining now so I may go hit the woods first thing in the morning now.

Ha yea we been busy trying to get caught up with work had a bunch of jobs come in at once plus I had to get some test done for OSHA that was a 10 hour class. On top of all that ended up getting a kinda bad cold that had me laid up but it's all good now. Usually don't get sick much nit when I do it kicks my butt, glad to get it out of the way before the season though ha.

Wishing right now I didn't live in the suburbs in city limits. The past two days coming home from work I see the pine straw and dirt all torn up around the bushes of the house and areas messed up along fence and at neighbors house, first thing I thought was an armadillo and I was right. Went out a few minutes ago and it was under the bushes...if I wasn't in city limits I would have shot it with my pistol. Rather than the idea of grabbing my bow (which just now popped in my head) I decide to try and catch it but it used the bushes to get away from me. Decided to make the city do work so their animal control will be here in the morning, if they don't set up a trap I'll be waiting with my bow tomorrow and it's gonna go away. It's almost bow season, why didn't that idea pop in my head? LOL

Good luck with the scouting!! Can't wait to see/hear what you find, take some pics of the stand setup! I've never seen an armadillo either!

Ya definately good to get it out of the way! Last year 5 days before i was suppose to drive 20 plus hours to my 6 day hunt in Illinois i had bronchitis and 2 ear infections. stayed home from work for 2 days before my vacation week to get better...LOL!
I was so nervous i wasn't going to be better in time. I still had a minor cough the first day in the woods.

Well looks like next time I see it I'll be shooting it since the lady at the police desk is one of the dumbest people I've ever spoken to. I asked when animal control was coming today since I called about it last night, even spelled my last name for her and she says nobody named Stewart called last night. My last name is Schuler....which I mention I spelled for her. So I told her if they don't trap it I will be shooting it with my compound bow, her reply is that I cannot fire a gun in city limits.....so I had to hang up. Wow....

So an update. Got a call from one of the officer's, they have limited numbers of traps and they are reserved for the dangerous critters. They said if I got my own trap and caught it that they would come get it, and they end up shooting them with a .22 anyways so I asked if it's no issue shooting it with the bow and he said go for it. Looks like I'll be doing a little hunting tonight in my front yard!

All I can say Schuls is wow.....quite the adventure it sounds like!! Just a thought but is anyone interested in doing a group app on their phones? Teams I was on the last two years have done this and has worked out pretty nice in the stand or after the shot. Was a free app & seemed to work well on everyone's cell. I can look up the app again if everyone/anyone is interested.

The app that I used before is called groupme. Seemed to work well unless someone else has a different one. I can set up the group if we decide we want to do this.
