13 days and counting! Doing some repairs to my climber....squirrels tried to help with redesigning it. I think it was better prior to their "help". A bit of sewing in my future....

They can be such a pain!! I left my viper out at the base of a tree for 3 days one time and the squirrels made quick work of the seat!! I walked out to the tree in the dark in the morning and it looked like it had snowed all around the base of the tree from the foam! So of course i still hunted that morning, wasn't quite as comfy as the squirrels thought i would be! What type of climber do you have?

just got done doing a test climb with mine, seems i am a bit rusty but all is good. also good to check not ony your stand stuff but your harness as well. 19 days till the opener on post, 28 until the official state opener. kinda sucks this year on ft campbell they have a earn a buck rule, meaning a doe must be harvested before you get a buck.

srtiek it will be well worth it. That place consistently produces the largest deer in the state!

It's so hot and nasty humid here this weekend. I was out doing a practice shooting session for 30 minutes and from climbing up and down the ladder a few times i am drenched in sweat. Great session though! Next weekend is the opener for Junior archery here in RI, I might take my son out if it's cool enough so he can connect on his first doe!

Oh man the south's heat and humidity!! I was stationed at Fort Polk Louisiana for a year and a half, it was awful! We had PT at 4am during the summer months, while running it was like breathing in through a wet T-shirt. some of the wierdest bugs I've ever seen too!

Sorry guys was up fishing on the Canadian border (Lake of the Woods) caught a crapload of walleyes. Now it's time to kill something in the woods. Put some finishing touches on the shooting lanes last week. Talked to the landowner, he says there are 9 different bear on his property and gave me permission to shoot one if I get the chance...Sept. 13th can't come soon enough

Wow hope you get a bear! IN NY I always get a free bear tag but I never see any by me, even though they just added a September bear season on to our fall bear season.

Another card pull today...more does. It's a good sign for the rut, like i knew it would be, but it's gonna take all my self discipline to stay put and wait for the bucks to come to me!!

Just bought a Rhinoblock. Been wanting to ditch the bag target I have since it's so big, but also have something bigger than my 18-1 so I'll still have two targets. Plus, Rhinoblock will take up less space than that big ole bag since I'll be doing the apartment living thing once I move to TX. Rhinoblock should be much easier to toss in the truck and go out in the woods for some practice instead of that bag. Now to get the bag sold locally lol
