3 days to go! Took a half day on Friday so I can get to the farm early and hopefully get my chores knocked out Friday evening so I can hunt Saturday morning. I'll be lookin for this guy but I'm sure I won't be lucky enough to see him my first morning in the woods lol. [IMG][IMG]

This may be the most unprepared I've ever been for season. I've just been so overwhelmed with other things going on in life it's hard to find time lately. I believe it might be the best situation to kill a big one since I've not been able to go out and pressure my spots. good luck to anyone out.

I feel similar, but I spent all summer scouting and my early season out of state... It will come together. Steady grind, and remember - If she blow's, she goes!

I'm going to be hunting an active scrape located between a bedding and feeding area so I'm hoping for some last light magic. This scrape has huge tracks in it so I could be a real surprise what is visiting it.

Finally made it to the woods! Probably not gonna make for much of a sit, the grandkids are old enough to want to go, not old enough be still or quiet for very long lol. But we're here that's what counts. I'll get some solo time in this evening and tomorrow morning. Good luck to anybody else that's out today![IMG][IMG]

Closed our deal at around noon and immediately packed up to head out! Finally nestled into my tree, little warm, but I’ll see how the movement is this evening. [IMG]

First sit out, I had my #2 buck come in at property #1 come in. A total of 10 deer in at one time. He was 19 yards broadside when I took the shot. I got the back of one lung and liver. Looked for him and he went onto neighboring property that I couldn't get access to. I will post pics later

Did you get access Sam? Shot looks lethal if taken at relatively steep angle.

Given the angle from the pic it looks like a dead deer to me too! Hope you can get access and find him, Dwayne! Good luck bro!

Any of you guys hunt from a saddle? Been thinking about giving it a go recently to expand on different areas where I can't get a stand in. Also like the fact that I can just strap into the harness/saddle and just put the platform and climbing sticks on my pack staying light weight and extremely mobile. Just not too sure how I will feel about shooting from one, just looking for some feedback if anyone has any experience.

Have my eyes on the Tethrd Phantom system, seems like a good option and a good starting point before i start adding anything else to it.
