Saw a big ol doe with two tiny fawns this morning at 8 yards. Let them walk, just not my thing. Call me a wuss, pansy, whatever! lol!
NICE!!! looks like a beautiful camp! It's gonna be a great weekend for Team 13!! I'm a go for tomorrow!
Hey Lucy, I'm home! In short, I wasn't able to close the deal on an elk. One in our week 2 party (Justin) did get a 5x6 big bodies bull and Matt (bz_711) had two great encounters. Dan (Soccerdan90) and I were in good sign nearly everyday but just didn't have shot opportunities. Will (the host of the biannual elk camp) shot a nice mule deer buck while trying to catch up with Dan and I. I also got to catch up with (Aussie) Troy and Sexy Rexy. So, here's some pics. I'll do a write up in another thread later. And, yes, Shetland ponies were involved in the second week's hunt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Heading out on thursday morning again. Ground blinds should be in today. I'll smoke them up fiercely tomorrow and set one up late thursday morning after my hunt. I'll be burying it in the thick princess pines near one of my spots.
Got my ground blinds in. I have them setup in the back yard soaking in the rain to get some of the scent off of them. I'll pack them up tomorrow night in their carrying bag and smoke'em! I plan on setting one up late thursday morning after my hunt.
Time is run out for me, a lot of thing to get done before season open on Monday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Everything I wanted to get done, before deer season (but couldn't), let's see..... Get a new truck Shoot my bow some more Scout a new public land section Refletch my arrows Figure out where I'm gonna hunt I would be able to get some of this stuff done by Monday, but I'll be out of town this weekend...September really blew past me this year. Usually it feels like forever, but with how busy I've been, I haven't had much time for hunting activities.
First NC whitetail sit planned on Sat. Looks to be warm (62-81 degrees) and humid, but a good wind for my long hike (3 miles each way) spot. Lots of activity and animals there last year... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
