Keep in mind where I hunt. In the past two seasons, I've only seen one deer in a hunting situation. I'm hoping I'm turning the corner in these woods that have haunted me since I was 14!
85 degree sit this afternoon. Just a few squirrels but heard a deer in the distance at quitting time. Bugs weren’t bad at all. Overall a decent sit! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I came back from Colorado without Elk and without my iPhone 10. I cut my hunting from 2 weeks down to 5 days hunt. First day hunt September 3 after 7 mile hike I was tired, sat down setup ready, make couple cow call then I make stupid mistake, laid down to rest, after 4 minutes I got up I just had enough time to saw a big bull elk ran in front of me about 25 yards, terrible mistake. I lost my iPhone 10 at Friday morning September 7 then I decided went home early. I ordered my new phone will pick up next Friday. I just borrowed a phone from my friend to use for this week. I saw 3 big bucks mule deer by my camp. No bulge when I am there. Good experience hunt but expensive trip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, Wisconsin public land was a bust. Me, Zarr, and Matt Miller didn't see a thing all day yesterday...well except for other hunters.... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Looks like I'll be heading out Thursday morning for a few hours! I ordered two ground blinds yesterday. My ADHD has caused me so many missed opportunities, and who knows how many I don't even know about. (fidgitting, constantly having to readjust) I've been denying it for the past year, but i know I'm putting myself in the right spots, and most definitely putting in my time. I think I'm getting picked off before I even have a chance. I have a few good spots to bury the ground blinds in mountain laurel patches. I hate not being exposed to the woods and being penned up, but I know it's what I need to do to be successful.
Scrolling through trail cam pics again this morning before class, I missed this guy coming through a couple times on the back property line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So when is anyone heading out next? I'm in for a good sit on thursday morning on that back property line, and saturday as well.
Probably not until Illinois season starts on Oct. 1st. But I am going to check out a public spot later this week.
I'll be out Friday afternoon with my hunting partner. Good wind for where we are headed and should definitely see something. Temps will be 25 degrees less than a week ago too. Might whack a doe if I get the opportunity!
I have a good feeling that something is dying tomorrow!! I’ll be hunting the back property line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First time in my life I haven't even bought my wi license yet. I don't have a single deer I'm interested about around. Couple thousand acres all private just me 5 differernt and I've got nothing here. Heading to iowa Oct 5 hoping something is good out there Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
