Looking good!! Same random wind direction as the day I shot my buck from last year. I have a perfect spot for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is a beautiful thing. Hourlys look good in WI bit high of 82 on Saturday. Wind will be perfect for my stand. Really got me rethinking opening day plans.
The high is going to be 81 here, but I have a solid game plan for recovery. I’ll have a cooler full of frozen one litre bottles of water to put inside the deer as soon as I’m done getting him/her! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tomorrow is the day! Gonna sit the morning and then have my son's birthday party. Hopefully won't get carried out by mosquitoes...Thermacell is ready to go!
High of 82 with South wind tomorrow. I'll be hunting in an area with no reception so won't be able to give you guys an update until I get home. I'll be doing an afternoon sit. Not sure of the tree yet, but heading to an area I always thought about putting a stand. It'll be the first sit for me self filming. Should be a lot of fun, even though I'll be sweating my ass off!
Looks like I'll be in the land of the cheeseheads tomorrow for opening day! Hunting some WI public land, so fingers crossed!
Have fun! Between us in WI and Swamp, hopefully we can start us off right. I will be on doe patrol this weekend as the urban hunt is earn a buck.
Ghille suit and gear smoked. Car packed LETS GO!!!! I don’t care if I don’t see anything tomorrow, I just want to be out there!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The wind completely shifted on me for tomorrow. No worries, I got a perfect spot for that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck guys! I am at least 3 weeks away according to the weather folks. Tomorrow is opening day in Missouri and heat index is forecast 95 or more for my area! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good luck guys ! I’m super jealous of you that get to hunt tomorrow - I’ve been out scouting / prepping trees for hang and hunts on public the last few weeks - checked some cams and made a hit list - this buck is the main public land buck - I can only ever get him on camera walking away even though I’ve tried to reposition multiple times from different angles / entry routes to the buck bedding . I’m super stoked for season !
I hope Swamp and the other WI boys got it done this morning. So many mosquitoes I almost got carried off.
Skunk city for me this morning! There was heavy heavy fog in the woods, I could not find my way to my new spot, got turned around a bit and ended up sitting where I shot my buck last year. I think a bottle came up from behind downwind of me and caught my scent and bolted, at least that’s what it sounded like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey joe! You mentioned you pulled cards on your way out in the “live” thread. Any good ones??? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I was just getting ready to post a few pics!! Zoom in on this guy’s rack That main travel Corridor I found a few months back is used mainly by does, which I knew. Not a single picture of a buck. What I need to find now is where that run, and this run intersect and set up shop! The cameras are about 100 yards apart. I walk right through this area where I got these pictures from...Maybe I should walk no further? LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
