You've never hunted Florida, have you?

You thought right! You never know who you're going to meet on here.

You're 18 and you've got a job that would make most of us jealous. Impressive. Well, except for when bow season opens and everyone needs their bows repaired or needs a new one and those of you fortunate enough to work in an archery shop are working your butts off while the rest of us are hunting. :)

Well, there is that, but the deer in Florida are tiny by your standards. I saw an article in the news a year or two ago about a python in Florida swallowing a mature doe. Now, I'm no expert, but I believe that there isn't a snake on the planet that could swallow a mature Wisconsin doe. A mature doe up there can make our southern BUCKS look small.

I agree 100% with you there about the does up here being way bigger! And I got some connections about getting off work, my dad owns the place and we already discussed he will work my weekends until my big boy is down!

But don't get me wrong I am still learning a BUNCH of stuff about bows and how to tear them a part as we just opened April 1st!

Hey guys just checking in! Super excited for this season! Well first off my name is Travis I'm from Todd County, MN. I have been bow hunting for 8 years and finally took my first deer with a bow last season, when I took down a 145" 10 pt. I go to school at North Dakota State University and I study Natural Resource Management, Soil Science, and Zoology. I graduate in December. My season opens the 14th of September and I got my eyes set on a pair of ten pointers that are twins and I call them Mike & Ike.

    Welcome to the team Travis!

Your first deer with a bow was a 145" 10 pointer? If my first deer with a bow had been a deer of that caliber you guys up north would have heard me screaming. :D My first deer with a bow was a yearling doe, but I was thrilled!

I guess that makes three of us starting on the 14th of September so far. Sweet!

Well, that's it for me for the night guys. I've got to get up at 5:00 to get the horses, dogs and cats fed and get off to work. Check back in as often as you can! :tu:

Welcome! Glad to have you on the team brother! When you get time tell us a little about yourself or at least give us your name. ILLbucknut would be hard to abbreviate. ILL (sick)? Nut (crazy)? IBN (Arabic for "son of")? Those just don't work very well. :D
