I'm finally starting to get some bucks on camera. Nothing that makes me think I wanna shoot, but some decent deer finally.

I believe these are all different deer.

I wish I would have paid more attention to his pelt, he ended up being piebald. after I got him caped I noticed a bunch of white behind his ears, 2 patches on his back, and a stripe down his chest. Capping him just ruined the whole pelt.
My son shot his first buck last year and it has been in the freezer since Nov. 10th of last year. I only capped him so I could use this deers cape incase my sons original cape was bad.... it's all though.

Oh man, that really sucks. Sorry to hear that. What would you have done if you'd noticed? Maybe a euro mount with the full tanned hide on the wall next to it or maybe even behind it? That would be pretty cool.

Probably throw the rack in the rack pile and get the full hide tanned to throw over the back of the loveseat in the living room. Like I said, I really need the cape so I can have his buck mounted, I could always shoot another piabald buck....right.LOL

I gotta admit, a full piebald hide hung on a love seat would look pretty damn good :tu:

I keep thinking that the hide stretched out on the wall with a euro mount in the middle would look pretty damn good too. In fact, that's not a bad idea even if it's not a piebald....... :D

I'm in the process of finding a house and figuring out the **** my father in law has done to my wife's credit due to student loans he took out in her name. But been huntin a few mornings before work but have to leave by 730. Last time I jump one on the way in. And four more on the way out due to going the long way to scout some. But no deer other than a yearling doe seen from the stand. Going out Saturday.

Well guys, this afternoon was my first sit in Missouri. I had a "nice for me on public land" 110" (give or take) 8 point walk in and pose for me broadside at 30 yards. I didn't even take my bow off the hanger.

In hindsight I should have shot him since I've been snake bit since November last year with my bow. I really need to get a bow kill to boost my confidence.

The only reason I didn't shoot is this contest, and that just doesn't seem right somehow. :)

Hope it doesn't come back to bite you. I'm shooting first thing that walks out. Big horns ain't why I hunt. Good luck on the rest of your hunt.

Well I passed a 140"ish buck for the 6th time in 24 hours tonight, I can't get away from that damn thing  I'm hunting hard right now, and seeing tons of chasing the past couple days. I just need the right deer to come by

Okay, where is everyone? Hunting, I hope? :)

We've got two bucks added to the scoreboard and Joe still has his 136 4/8". How's hunting been for you all?

I just realized I never posted my buck in our team thread. I got a second chance on this buck, as I shot him the first time a month ago yesterday and didn't kill him. He came in on the morning of the 17th at 7:50 following a doe, and gave me a perfect broadside shot at 25 yards. Complete pass through, and he ran 50 yards and tipped over. The unofficial green gross score is 177 6/8
