Well I'm back at it this morning. Driving to my spot, I saw my 3 big bucks all together in a bean field heading the direction of the stand I am currently in.

Unfortunately I only saw a doe and a fawn this morning. I sure was hoping I'd see them when I wasn't in my truck, but no luck. Sitting in a different draw this evening, but there's still big deer in it. We will see...

Help me out, I'm wanting to hunt the pines in the bottom left above the bright green corn field. I think the deer are coming from the top right which is soy. I will be walking in from the bottom right. What would your entry exit be with what wind. This is going to be a morning stand for me to get in and out before work. I'm thinking about walkin in on the east side of the bedding area with a drag line in doe urine. Then exit by walkin around the pines to the west until I hit the trail again and hunting with a east or NE wind. What are your thoughts?[IMG]

I need help on this if u have any tricks for getting broadeads off of arrows, I've tried a lot soaked it in boiling water soaked in in vinegar, tried spinning the broad head with vice grips and pliers and can't get it off, it's a slick trick grizz trick so I can grab onto the tip but just can't get it unstuck any1 know a special trick haha?

Never had that problem. All I can suggest is try to carefully run hot water over the end of the shaft where the insert is and heat the insert without heating the broadhead

If that doesn't work I'd take the nock out, put a drill bit in the nock end and sling the arrow to knock the whole assembly out. This is provided you have extra inserts to glue in. Also, if you do this do it outside since there are blades on it.

Well guys, finally back in the house after skinning the doe from tonight. Still a little warm here, so I skinned her out and cranked up the air conditioner in the butcher shed. I was sitting on the corner of a standing corn field where an old railroad bed meets an old fence line/ hedge row. At 6:30 I look up and see a small spike buck and a doe making there way towards me, through the fence row. They slowly work their way to within bow range, but this old hedge row is so thick that I couldn't get a shot. Finally, she made her way away from me slightly, and I could see her through a hole in the branches. She was quartering away hard, but I wasn't worried, thats why I shoot Black Eagle Arrows :tu: I could see the Killzone (which I bought last night, by the way) cut a big hole in her, and she was pumping out a lot of blood. She ran roughly 50 yards and piled up trying to cross over the old railroad bed.

I am going to tan her hide and use it to cover a table I am going to make. Her early season short hide should look pretty sweet.

It's deer mineral. I'm part of the Monster Raxx pro staff, so the mineral is in the pic for Toms Facebook and website pictures.

How about you guys, anyone seeing anything that's got them excited?

Good news today for my dad and me. Got written permission to hunt two farms 280 acres combined. 200 of it is a mountain side the other 80 is seperate ag land. Probably won't hunt it until turkey season or if public land starts to suck. It is about a 1.5 hour drive but land owner said he sees deer and turkey's a lot. We are very excited.
