I hope that you do too, and I REALLY hope you put us on the board first. Let's leave the rest of them in the dust. :tu:

That makes perfect sense since you have specific bucks located and patterned.

I don't have those limitations and the sky is the limit.

By the way, what's everyone doing? Hibernating?

I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that. If I want to go my wife wants me to go because she wants me to be happy. I'm a lucky guy. :tu:

Well, I bought my non-resident Kentucky and Arkansas tags today. There went $500.

I've still got to decide on Ohio. The second weekend of November is our family gun hunt in Missouri and I won't miss that so I have to buy a Missouri gun tag even though I'll probably stick to my bow. That's $225. I'm torn and can't decide whether to buy the Missouri archery tag (another $225) or skip that and buy an Ohio tag ($165). It sounds less expensive, but then I'm looking at about $300 in gas round trip to Ohio.

The cool thing about going to Ohio, besides the chance at a great buck, would be that I would take a solid week and a half off, drive to Ohio and hunt for five days, then drive to Missouri and hunt for four days.

If I skip Ohio, I'll take six days off (Tuesday through Tuesday), take the camper to Missouri and bow hunt by myself for a few days and then my family will show up for the gun opener. The upside to that is it will be very relaxing having the camp to myself for a few days. The downside is that the chances of killing a decent buck where we hunt are a little on the slim side.

I'll figure it out, but I'm curious: Which would you guys choose? :)

I think I would like the two states as a week and a half off. Sounds like a nice little vacation, plus a better chance at killing a big buck :tu:

I'm really leaning that direction. I'm not posting this because I need help deciding. I'm just kind of sharing my thoughts on the issue. It's sort of a nice problem to have.

    What cole said!

Being able to actually spend a decent time in the woods, putting several hunts together back to back to back can be extremely beneficial in putting a big one down :)

I know. The more I think about it the more I really like the idea.

Incidentally, Pat, unless you've just done it I think you still need to let Fitz know that you're the team captain. There's a thread you have to post the info in. :)

I'm curious about something. If you happen to know, what is everyone's total arrow weight and FOC %? Mine right now weigh 480 grains with a 17% FOC. I'm thinking about adding another 50 grains up front for a 530 grain arrow which is what I used to shoot out of my Drenalin. That added weight would give me a 20% FOC.

I would take the time off work !!!! Your lucky I wish I could take a week and a half off school to do that, luckily I'm taking 4 days to go upstate at the end of September to the adirondacks with my brother and hoping to shoot a giant big woods bruiser up there, then I get back and it's gonna be October first and I'm skipping school then of obviously and I'm hoping to get atleast a doe on Long Island, anyway my season is starting to take shape
