Leaving for Kansas

 

Hunted hard all last week here before gun opener. Saw a decent amount of deer and had some smaller bucks chasing around does, but nothing that I wanted to put an arrow in. I have Friday off, so I plan on finding a blaze vest and hat and trying to get it done again.

 

I haven't seen anything in a while, getting burned out. But... it's going to get cold again and I'll be out all Friday to see what I can do. I will not be able to get out until after Thanksgiving and will be heading up to Illinois for that weekend. Hopefully, things work out soon, I'm ready to see some good bucks in the stand.

 

Drew on a 5 x5 last night but let down. Just didn't need another 125 inch buck.
Seen about 25-30 does and the only thing following them were yearling bucks?
Wierd!!

 

I've been out all week and been seeing young bucks for sure. Pretty cold here but movement hasn't been crazy. Unfortunately, orange army comes out Saturday and things aren't the same. Hopefully can get it done before then. Good luck team!

Well, everyone and their mother is putting down good size bucks, so I suppose it's that time to be in the woods. I'm sitting all day tomorrow, if I don't see anything, I'm selling all my stuff, buying skinny jeans, and joining the snowflakes.

Well men, I finnally got an arrow into my dream buck at ,3:31 today.
Shot felt great, found the passed through arrow and he's leaving a decent bloodtrail.only followed about 50 yards but as hard as it was, decided to wait till morning..
Been after hiim for 4 years.
Say some prayers please!

Got the sheds from him as a 2,3,6,7 year and finally killed at 8.
He's NOT a high scoring deer but he sure means alott to me.
When he was a 4 year old, he turned into a nocturnal ghost!!

 

I am having a tough time in Kansas. Only seen 3 shooters and none in range. 2 days left to get it done.
