Im headed up to My Kentucky lease this weekend, will be hanging stands , cams and scouting on Sat morn then hunt thru Monday. I havent been there yet so I no Idea whats on the farm
He will be really something if you pass him till next year or the following. Im kind of bumming about the bucks so far by the house. The only reason im not to upset is i know for a fact there are some good ones in the vacinity. Im just not getting them on camera yet. This guy is a regular. Nice looking 3 yo but hes getting a pass unless one of the kids shoots him.
Tough time of the year to get bucks. They lose their velvet and they disappear for a few weeks. Should start moving around some more soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yea thats why im not too worried. We have a cool front coming next week. Night time temps are really going to start to drop. So it begins…..
Almost All my bucks have vanished from the cams too , I’m gonna leave my place alone for a few weeks and hope they show back up . On a positive note, we have received some good rain since I planted my food plot 2 weeks ago and it’s looking good
We got hammered with rain too. Thank God. Hope my plots take off. You know what they say now find the acorns. My pin oaks behind the house are loaded.
Made it put after work last night. Seen a decent young 10, another small buck, and a doe and fawn. All were in range and close at one point. Was a good sit. Still waiting for the big 10 to show back up hopefully. Moved a camera last weekend and gonna put a couple more out soon. Good luck guys that are getting out.
Alright, alright. Starting to get bigger. Starting to stretch their legs a little bit. This cold front cant get here soon enough. Going to be super hot for our opener. Ill probably sit it out and go when the first front comes through.
I am part of an organization that hunts city parks (the big timber ones not the swing-set ones lol). We had our first hunt M-W, saw a couple doe. Weather was wet, almost no wind. Of 7 guys we only shot 2 doe total. Will be back again in late Oct. should be better then.
Cool front headed our way starting Thursday. Some chilly evenings coming up after that just over from the border of IL here in Wi. Looking forward to it.
It’s been hot all week here in SEMO. Going to get a good cool weather front next weekend so going to take a couple days and hunt. May go out this evening and sit on a waterhole and see if I can’t find a thirsty doe. Need some ground in the freezer. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Last eve in hunt in Ky for a few weeks , I spent most of the weekend putting up stands n cams , sitting in a ground blind in the back of a small bean field . Saw a few deer back here last night as I came out .got a little forky in here now .
It’s 87 degrees and I’m sitting. Said I wasnt gonna do it until I got the pictures from Saturday. The biggest of the two was here first during complete daylight. I’m not used to hunting this stand with the leaves on but I won’t be able to hunt again till next Sunday. Notice the scrape off to the left of the pond. It will be a small yard size by the end of October.
I shot my biggest bow buck there. Over the years all the bigger deer in the area go through multiple times a season.
