I’m based in Cape Girardeau now. Spend quite a bit of time on the Mark Twain that is near by. We have a small property down south in the bootheel I’ll end up on once it gets into November. Blessed on that front.

Here are some I've gotten over the years. On a side note like clock work the bucks have disappeared for now on my cams.

My bucks are spread out between my house my parents house and the family farm. Have taken a few nice ones but not as many as you guys. Killed a couple i wish i would have gotten mounted. One of the biggest bucks i ever shot i got drunk and gave the head to my neighbors son . My dad got a kick out of that the next day when he reminded me. How do you tell a 5 year old boy you were just kidding? Still waiting on last years from the taxi hes an 18mo wait.

    This was 2 yrs ago

2012 buck killed october it was like 85 degrees almost didnt go. Glad i did.
    IMG_0207 Copy.jpeg

last years im still waiting on from taxi. 26-3/4” neck. 213# dressed.
    IMG_2662.jpeg

Oldest buck ive taken. 9-1/2 believed to be. Teeth were almost non existent. 22” inside spread.
    IMG_0841.jpeg

more subpar taxidermy work. He screwed up cape and had to use a donor.

This guy was an ol scrapper.
    IMG_1984.jpeg

really need to get these 2 back home.
    Resized_Resized_20230901_182451.jpeg

a nice buck. Not so nice taxidermy. This is where i learned not to go cheap
    IMG_2266.jpeg

Not a big buck but one of the coolest hunts ive had. Watched this buck get his but kicked by another giant buck. The big one ran opposite direction after a doe and this one came barreling past me. The next day this bucks face was so swollen and bruised it was unbelievable. Ill have to find pic of that too.

This is the only mature buck ive seen so far on my property by the house. Hes Not very big but looks 4 or 5 yo to me. Just by the face. Maybe even older idk. Little bachelor group hes with. Neighbors arent seeing many big ones either. Kinda has me concerned. Hope no EHD. There was 3 known big ones 140-170” and 3 other nice ones 125-130-ish killed between us and 4 neighbors. Hope some other bigguns move in. This property is notorious for mid October cruisers so we’ll see. Still optimistic. IMG_4741.png

Im headed Sat to Destin Fl for a week of camping and fishin so ill miss the next two weeks in the stand. Its ok cause the 2 shooters Ive been getting on cam have not been around for the past few weeks, always happen after opening day of bow. Im headed up to My Kentucky lease the first weekend of October to do some scouting and stand hanging. Cant wait to get a cell cam out up there and see what roaming the woods. heres a few Ga bucks Ive taken over the years.

Less than 24 hrs here in MO boys! Too much going on with work to make it out in the A.M. but I’ll be in a tree by 4PM. I know exactly where I’m going. Good feeling after a productive summer doing a ton of scouting work on all of the surrounding public. No guarantee by any means but know what is where and the potential makes a huge difference mentally.

First slick head that walks by is getting a black eagle sent. Down to 4lbs in the freezer.

My cameras have been blowing up yesterday and today. Finally got at least a pic of a brute. Not a great pic but he looks like a bull. Not the biggest rack but im sure the body makes it look smaller than what it is. IMG_4742.png

Man after looking at all the nice bucks this team has taken over the years im realizing we have a pretty hard core team. Could you imagine putting all our mounts together on one wall. We just may have to get serious and win this thing.
