It’s been a weird season for me as well. I have 7 shooters (bucks I figure will be above the 150 mark) on camera and have only seen one. Some chasing around by younger bucks but I have not seen tending by anything mature. I’m back to work Friday thru Monday and then off again for 6 days. Of course the orange army will hit it hard starting a week from today. I love hunting late season when there is snow. I’m confident there will be some success by me in the next month or so. Being patient is a big part of the game with mature bucks. #keepatit
Seen my target buck yesterday morning following a doe. Unfortunately she didn't bring him close enough. Keep grinding guys

Sorry guys I haven't been around lately. I went on my annual Gun deer hunt and it was a bust. Gun season ended yesterday so I will be back at it with my bow.

Ive been steady at it but decided not to kill myself this year. Ill go till the end of season but my back cant take all the back to back all day sits anymore. Reality is sinking in. I need to go get it fixed. Every other weekend i get a 4 day weekend so i will have about 4 more of those. Think i still have 1 more vacation day to burn b4 end of year as well. Keep at it guys. For sure dont do it if you wont utilize the meat but if you can or can give meat away those does sure add up quick if you get a chance at one. Ive seen some pretty late come backs in the contest. Few years back i killed a 151” buck on Dec 15th that shot us from i think 4th place into 1st. Still ended up in 3rd i think but it can get good late season.
Our gun season is over. A neighbor got the 10 I was after. I'm headed to Kansas to rifle hunt for the week. I'll be back at it with a bow as much as possible once I get back.
My first kansas was a great experience. Was fun to hunt a different type of terrain than what I'm used to. We put on some miles and was able to connect with a good one on the last morning.

I almost had a doe xmas eve. Deer are all moving back into the area now. Getting more pics on the cameras. No buck as of yet. Hope you all had a Great Christmas and even a better new year. T
