Still grinding away with very few sightings. Cold front hit here in WI so I'm still pretty confident I will get one.

We got a couple inches of snow yesterday. Looking forward to getting out today after work. See what runways have opened up in the fresh snow.

Sorry for being MIA. Ive posted a little bit in LFTS. I had a close call last night fell in some water damn near drowned. Screwed my back and neck up so im taking this AM off. Hope to be back out this afternoon. Not seeing any big ones yet on our private and all the public around me is a PITA right now due to it being NOV and tons of people hitting it. So patience daniel san.

Man hate to hear about the fall. Rest up and heal man. Those bucks will be moving before long. I seen a 140” buck yesterday and a 170” this morning taking my son to school

Should have us 50 for the scorecard gentleman. I hit her low so im giving her plenty of time. She ran 50 yds from impact and bedded down. I eased out and am drinking beer in the garage. Ill hive her few hrs and head out with the dog. Hopefully the couotes dont get to her first.

We are 50 points stronger boys. I onow we got some heavy hitters on this team and im seasoned enough to know that the good stuff is still yet to come. Keep at it guys we should be able to be contenders given the potential on this team. But most importantly lets have fun and be safe.

Id love to go hog wild and chase some public monsters down cause i know where to go to connect with some 160-170 class deer but the family life is got me grounded and im just lucky to have the private by my house i can hunt. Finally have that 8pt daylighting and i know there are 2 other decent 4.5+ year old bucks in the area just so happens not a one of them will score over 150 if the tape measure is being nice. Mature deer though so im launching if i get the op. Tomorrow morning i think something big bodied is gonna die and i hope its not me lol.

Got a couple more pics of him pegged to a doe. Moving in tomorrow to hopefully end his fling. Cant tell if hes 3.5 or 4.5. What do you guys think? Im in Southwest Illinois. Not quite as big as the West Central (pike co.) bucks but we still grow some biggins.

In Illinois now. Hunted yesterday evening and passed a 145” 8 and seen 6 other bucks. Seen 19 doe this morning and not a buck one to be seen. Its warmed up and the winds are howling. Supposed to let up around 3:00 today. These all day sits are tough when its so warm. Well hopefully things pick back up.

Nice pass that is a big 8 would be hard for me to do! My cams are dead and still not much for action around my house. I have a few 2yo bucks holding the fort down right now. At least its not just us and neighbors are saying the same. Im sitting a plot right now that is smack dab in the way of a destination field. Go back to work for 4 days tomorrow then off for 10 so its far from over yet! Good luck guys.

That wraps up my first stretch. Saw the little 8 again tonight and he put on a show as usual. Him and another small buck have been running the place. I have a feeling they are about to get bounced by a big boy just a matter of time. Ill be at work for a few then another 10 day stretch with gun season on the tail end. Ill probably have my bow in hand for that though.

Very weird season so far for me. Not seeing much rut action in my area. Mostly night time pics with the exception last Monday. Got a buck on cam during daylight. buck11.jpg buck12.jpg

Been hard at it all week. Seen a couple 2 yr Olds and a lot of small bucks this week. Just not the right buck so far. I'm out right now until noon or so. Have some family stuff on Saturday and can't make it out. Hopefully I can get out Sunday afternoon for one more hunt before our rifle season starts next Saturday 20231104_091539.jpg
