@Gabilgerat first freaking sick deer - thing is gnarly! Also happy to see someone didn't take the questioning offensively and in the end it got corrected.

love to see this, and again love that buck’s character!!!

Anyone watching the woods wake up this morning? Ive got another couple long days of work then a 4 day weekend. Loving my new work schedule i get every weekend off but every other week is a 4 day weekend. Coming from working 6 and 7 days a week this is awesome. Should be able to get out for couple hunts this weekend. Next weekend i will start turning up the heat. Still nothing on the private spot by the house im too excited about but its just a matter of time.

Looks like i may have caught a little harassment on camera. This thing got bumped so its shooting low but this doe came hauling passed and theres a few other pics but this buck was on a mission. He looks decent too. Its about to pop off. If you zoom in on his bases he has some decent mass. I Dont believe ive seen this buck yet but hard to tell IMG_5190.jpeg IMG_5189.jpeg IMG_5188.jpeg IMG_5187.jpeg IMG_5186.jpeg

Actually made it out this evening. Came to a plot we havent had eyes on since we planted it. Pretty sad. No rain. There are prints all over it though and acorns dropping in it from all these pinoaks. Probably what theyre in here munching on. IMG_5235.jpeg

Had to work all weekend but had today off. Made it out this morning. Rain moved in earlier than they were saying. Sat for a few hours in the rain. Was a quiet morning. Should make it back out Friday morning. Weather should be better that day. Good luck guys that are making it out

I posted this one in LFTS but here is one i will put an arrow in even though he wont score much. Hes got to be 7.5-8.5 and last year he spent a lot of the winter on our place. My neighbor has been watching him for quite a few seasons now. I may have seen him before last season but not sure. He was just a big 7 last year. Here he was IMG_2253.png

Then he turned into this. His body just went to the next level. Looks like he may have some splits on brows and maybe some other small junk this year. Moose of a deer though. IMG_5258.jpeg IMG_5257.jpeg IMG_5251.jpeg IMG_5250.jpeg

Tomorrow will be the last warm day and we are going to the freezer. This weekend will be the best couple days of the season for up here. Been getting a lot of decent pictures mainly after dark.

BUT tonight I pulled a boneheaded move. Drove to the property to be hunted and decided to go home seeing it was going to rain and I had no good pictures here. (I went there because they always show up about the 25th; no lie.) I received a photo of a big bastard at 513pm, about an hour after I left. . I have three properties with big deer around them and start a 13 day vacation Saturday.

I made a dumb move and sat this evening in pouring down rain and wind. I didnt know it would be that nasty but i stuck it out anyway. As one could guess i didnt see a damn thing. If i would have set up where i initially thought to i would have seen deer but chanced being winded. Defeat reminds me im alive lol. Ill be back at em tomorrow evening then will be hard at it from the 1st-7th
