Well hit stand this afternoon but just a yearling doe was all.

 

Have the day off tomorrow but my youngest is playing her last soccer game tomorrow. We are gonna hang out all day.

Will be out there on Wed and Thurs. Buck movement is slowing down. Will need to get real lucky down the stretch.

 

Slower here too, but still got time. If nothing else that four year old low scoring eight is on the menu as the giant has disappeared altogether here.

Not sure I’ll get out till maybe half day sit on Thanksgiving.

Season ain't done by any stretch of the imagination and few bucks put us right into the mix for sure!

 

I won't quit til the bell sounds in Jan. I've never killed a good one in late season.

 

I've passed some solid deer but I think the 20s of November is the latest I've ever shot a buck myself.

 

After the first week of shotgun season it seems like the deer just disappear. The latest I've killed a buck is November 2, the latest I've seen a really good buck was the day after Thanksgiving about 8 years ago. But I'm hoping to get out a few more times. I really want to take my wife's grandfather's muzzleloader out; he passed away last year and gave it to my mother-in-law with the intent that I use it. So between the remaining bow season and muzzleloader hopefully I'll put something down, although it goes with out saying - I wouldn't try to enter a muzzleloader deer haha.

I think I'm about Nov 18th or 19th as my latest.

 

My 2nd biggest buck ever was 12-8-01 but that was with a rifle but our rut is probably a little different than y’all’s we are just now really going good with the rut

I intend to change and set the latest bow buck of my hunting this year.

 

I'm up for the challenge.

I was set up by two buck beds this morning. About 45 minutes before light I had a couple deer come in from opposite directions and head to thick cover. Tomorrow morning I'm setting up on that thick stuff.

 

Snowing. Plan on hunting tomorrow. It's gonna be cold!

 

I might make it out Wednesday here...snow coming today and cold Tuesday with Wednesday being the slight warming day but best day for life to allow so might squeeze in an afternoon.

 

I hunted yesterday. Cold. Nothing seen.

 

I made it out several days last week without seeing a deer. Hope yalls Thanksgiving were good. I did get a new buck on cam. Pretty fun waking up to that photo. Seems most of the deer have gone nocturnal. Hoping that its just due to the moon phase.

Good news bad news. Season is over at the hands of my rifle. Took a young 7 pointer in PA. I actually thought it was one of the big ones I was chasing as it happened so fast and the rack looked tall in the scope at 25 yards.

I’ll get a doe for the team with the bow before the season is over.
