Congrats @snuff !! Nice job! Small update from me, I spent some time up a tree Friday and actually Saturday, but nothing of note to share and actually were two very dead sits. There is a chance I don't hunt for a week or so - let my property set as gun season hopefully pushes deer onto it looking for refuge. We will see what the end of this week brings and if I head out or not then even. Still a month and a half left, going to try to close the deal on one of the mature bucks here at some point...

Saw a good one Saturday morning but he was on a doe and on a mission. Last night saw 8 does and one young buck. Hoping to get out once this week and then Friday night/Saturday morning. Things have been mighty slow in my area. Going to focus on food sources from here on out I believe.

I took my nephews out yesterday and set a treestand near the trail that the deer have been coming from. Should be a shot from 10-25 yards. Hopefully that will put the big guy in range next weekend. This will probably be the last season for that particular stand. It needs new hardware so I'm checking with sportsman guide if they have extra. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
Update from Sunday. Haunted hard again for a half day. Saw two doe in the early and two spikers at 11. Time was up. Now...I figured that was or is the end of the archery season. I am trying to get out one last final time on Friday (the official last day of the season). Fingers crossed.
Saturday is likely the next time I’ll be out. I will however be chasing a buck clear into first week of January…hoping post rut food tendencies is when I can finally get back on the biggun
I'm hoping to head out this afternoon to that piece of local public that I went to early in September and essentially sweated all my water out. There's a lot of crops in that area and I don't believe folks can shotgun hunt it so hopefully I'll see some movement tonight. In the morning I'm also hoping tool get out but ideally I loose an arrow and hit my mark and that's that. Good luck fellas!
Good morning guys! My activity on the cameras the past couple of days has really increased. My two shooter bucks have made it through the 1st week of rifle. I'm up in the blind this morning with the smoke pole. Hoping to see one of those guys. I think they are desperately seeking to find those last remaining does. Hoping one runs by me!
