It looks like it’s going to cool down some next week right about the time I get my time off from work. I haven’t seen anything this morning and my cams have been dead all week long. Fixing to get down and do some light scouting.

Not me, I did fellas have a shooter on cam yesterday pushing does while I was hundred and twenty yards or so south of him.

that buck and two other shooters bigger than him have been on cam in daylight last two days.

Home with my sick five year old today, but winds allow for an all day sit tomorrow in one of my favorite stands. Fingers crossed.

attached the picture of that buck from yesterday

Today finds me again up a tree and seeing deer but nothing old enough. Only one male deer not a yearling and he was a solid two year old that is gonna be in need of serious antler growth to even get considered next year.

Well fellas had my big guy at 35 yards calm and feeding with a doe that was at twelve. I hesitated taking the 35 for no reason other than I’m a fool…went to draw then and he peeled off. Came back and got to 30 yards but always facing or hard quartering to shot only….i almost let the heavy single bevel set up do it but I just cannot find it in myself to risk the life of a big buck on a shot like that…..

so pissed I didn’t just not hesitation draw and shoot at 35.

I practice farther regularly with broad heads and for whatever reason hesitated…just long enough it saved him.

    attaching still frame from video.

Yes sir! I've been very busy the last couple of days and haven't had an opportunity to share. My best buck to date and shot from the ground no less. Green scored at 161 7/8th. I'll post the story later today. I'm preparing to head to Arrowhead for the Chiefs game! Good luck everybody! November 10th is an awesome day to be in the woods! 20241107_132230.jpg 20241107_132515.jpg

Well the mature eight presented but I’m holding out for one of the giants until gun season hits (Saturday). We will reassess what lives during and I could loosen my goals back to normal which is any buck I believe to be four.

still got hour and touch more of light so we will see what moves yet tonight
