I'm trying to get ahold of a land owner to see if I can go check a pond and grid search around around it. Planning to leave work a bit early tomorrow and praying to find him...hopefully we can start racking up some points (pun intended)

 

Temps are starting to lower. Early next week is looking real good.

 

Alright fellas. Let's get a deer down by the end of the weekend. We've been close.

 

I was going to hunt this evening but got to where my climber was and it is gone. I guess someone needs it more than me. We lease 200 acres so we have a trespassing problem. I’m going to go pull my other climber now and head home and regroup.

I hunted this evening and I didn't see a thing.Going to try to head out on Friday evening through Sunday. Tomorrow I'm going to dump about 100 lbs of corn out.

 

That sucks. Sorry you are going through that. Any people on cams? I store mine on public most times but, I lock it to help provide some protection. If someone wants it though, they will take it.

 

Im hopeful to share an update on Saturday and Monday. Likely the next times I will be at it.

 

No I didn’t get anyone on cam unfortunately when the hurricane came through a couple weeks ago it blowed down a big hickory in front of my cam if not for that I would have got a picture of them

Got shut out last night. Boom or bust with these bucks.

 

I hunted this morning saw a sow and here 2 cubs and on the way out walked up on 4 small bucks they had no idea I was there they were playing and having a ball

Heading to my bestfriends kids birthday party today then tomorrow and Monday I'll be in the woods hoping to lay the smack down on one. I searched again for that buck I shot and I may have kicked him up out of where he beds, I kicked a big deer up but couldn't see rack because it's so thick but by the crashing and body i don't think it was a doe. I'm hoping he somehow is recovering from the shot.

@virginiashadow any luck with your recovery on the buck you shot?

 

I didn't shoot anything. Been a slow season. Im narrowing some places down and I am slowly ramping up the pressure.

 

Oh man, I misread that haha. I thought gut shot not got shut. Haha my bad.

 

Went 0 and 0 for morning and evening hunts. Not a tail. Woods is super void of water and I was not hunting near food. I need the bucks to start finding their territory for some help.
