    I'll drop a quick intro blurb.

    I’m Bill, I’ll be hunting in NC for deer and bear this fall, WY for elk and maybe IL for deer. NC deer season opens Sat and I’ll be hunting private and public, greatly a weekend warrior.

    Literally, I’m leaving Sat morning at 3am for 2 days of driving out to WY for a few days of solo scouting and hunting before my elk hunting partner arrives Wed pm. By the 25th (successful or not) I’ll head back east and either processing an elk or headed out to the stand to hunt deer.

    Not sure what if I’ll have service in the WY mtns so I have no interest in being Captain. I also have no preference for any team name, logo…

    Hey gang, we just got home from practice. I’ll write more tomorrow.
    I don’t have any interest in being El Capitan.

    GeminiRidge checking in. I leave for Colorado tomorrow so I might be MIA for a bit. I'll score my elk as a whitetail if I get one. That should help us a little bit. Hehehehe

    Mornin' ya'll, I'm Carter. I've been around on this page for quite some time. I have however dropped off in yearly communication due to my job and all the life that kiddos bring. I'm happy to annouce that I will be retiring this October 1st at the ripe old age of 55. It's been a plan of mine for quite some time to retire at 55 and here we are!

    As for the hunting, I'm hoping to be able to spend some time at some local conservation areas when everyone else that has a job is working. lol
    I'm only into large bucks and does anymore and that's my choice so you won't see me shoot any small deer unless there's a "need" to put one out of it's misery.

    Hope everyone has a great season!

    You couldn’t have planned a better date to retire. Sounds like you’ll be able to log the most hours you ever have in the woods

    Congrats on the doe! Bet it feels good to get some meat in the freezer early. What’s your bow and arrow set up looking like?

    @Bullridnfool going to check in?

    I'm around, but temps in the 90's don't have me very into it yet. Seeing some deer in the score thread and a few dropping in LFTS thread has me hoping for opening weekend. Hope the temps cooperate, evenings will be a no go with weather like this. Ice won't be much of an option.

    As for Captain, I'd prefer not to as I really don't know how active I'll be. Position at work really limits me a lot of the time.

    I've got the itch and seeing people dropping deer in the LFTS thread is only irritating it. Season is 2 weeks from this Wednesday and I'm ready to start posting live from the stand. I hope things work out for you and your potential spots this year.
