Matt, I remember that buck, what a freak! Both the suggested names are OK with me guys. And it's unanimous, Eric is captain!
Mount Union is my hometown but I didn't really grow up there. My father was career Navy so I grew up all over the place. We went back home all the time though between his duty stations and to hunt when possible.
OK guys, since we have 11 of 12 checked in lets go ahead and try to nail down a team name. So far we have two choices to chose from. We can vote on those or throw out a couple more. After that if anyone has has good photoshop skills, we can start working on a logo. Hope everyone's prep is going well. Last year My hunting fields were a mix of milo and corn, both of which have not been replanted. It looks like they just planed some winter greens about 3 weeks ago, so it should come in nicely just in time for the opener. I am hoping to get out there this week and do one final check in on the property and check cameras and look for some scrapes. Hope everyone else is doing well.
Ok. My vote for team name is -Top Pin Terrors-. I kinda like that a little better than Dirt Nap Dozen. That does have a good ring to it and fits well but to me that kinda sounds like WE'RE dead and not the deer. Lol. If that makes sense.
Lol. You're fine man. Some guys are Top Pin Terrors but I am a Single Pin Sniper. I like them both so whatever the majority likes is cool with me.
So what does everyone do for a living? I make paper. Exciting right? Im an engineer for a paper company that makes things like stamps, beer labels etc. So next time your drinking a coors light or miller light from a bottle you'll think of me Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk 2
I just recently started working in the casting department at a precious metals plant. I did security for the same plant until they offered my this position. Only been doing it for about a month and a half now so I'm still learning a lot. Its pretty cool actually. Today we are casting 21,000 oz. of pure silver and cutting it into billets.
I work in tech support for a heavy truck manufacturer. Basically when a truck goes into the dealership and the dealer technicians cannot figure out how to repair the truck and they call for help.....They get me. Definitely good job security. It's hard enough to fix a truck much less one you cannot touch. lol.
Union electrician here. I work all over the Chicago area, mostly hospitals, schools, office buildings, etc. I've been extremely busy this year, but things should be slowing down just in time for hunting season. Matt, what area of WI are ya? I'm heading up to Chippewa Co in the morning for a few days of scouting, fishing, and sleeping
Im in Portage co and live near Stevens Point. I hunt here a bit but mainly down in Vernon Co Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk 2
I just graduated from the university of connecticut this past spring with a bachelors degree in natural resources. I'm still on the hunt for a job related to my degree, but currently work at a local hardware store that I've been working at for the past 4 years. Its money, but definitely not something I want to do much longer. I do have control over my work schedule so I've worked out my hours so that I can spend as much time in the stand as possible this year. As for a team name, I vote "Top Pin Terrors".
Congrats on graduating! The right job will come soon enough. In the meantime focus on a big set of horns! Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks dude! I figure I better get as much hunting in as I can before I begin a career, which could occupy a lot of hunting time
No kidding, I spent a lot of time up there growing up. We had a cottage on Lake Dubay, some of the best times of my life. Man I miss that place.
I am grateful that my boss is a hunter too. He knows if the weather is right I will be calling in during deer season. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
