Nah couldn't make it. Ended up finishing the majority of my Christmas shopping. Only a couple little things left to get.

Well the Christmas luck from the stand didn't pan out for me. Oh well. I have until Jan 31st to hunt.

 

I scored an Outdoor Edge complete processing knife set. An external rechargeable battery to keep my phone going when in the woods. And also a sweet detailed home butchering guide book for deer and other wild game. Oh also a 200 recipe venison cookbook. I made out like a bandit. Guess Santa was very pleased with my behavior this year.

 

I also got one of those charging packs. Absolutely love it. My iphones battery sucks since going to ios 7. lol. I tend to buy what I want and tell the wife it's for my Christmas. so my HHA optimizer and G5 soft bow case was mine. lol

 

Alright I'm up a tree just off the trail I saw that buck walking last weekend. I hope he decides to take a stroll down the same trail this evening. :thumbup::D

Well no luck!! Heard a few deer jump off while walking out after dark. Just gonna keep plugging away at it and eventually my luck has to change. Right?!?! Haha

 

Come on Remy, you're killin' me!! Please shoot one soon, I'm pulling for ya! What if you tried changing tactics a bit? Maybe sit in places you have never sat before? Always worth a shot I guess, you never know.

Yeah I've switched up tactics a few times. There's only one spot that I planned on hunting that I haven't hit yet. I have a good feeling about this spot that I'm concentrating on right now, but I know to not over hunt it. Its just seems to not be falling into place for me. I've even done some scouting on public with the climber in tow and hunted a couple spots that were totally unknown to me. Just can't seem to have all the cards fall in place for me yet. But like I said I still have a full month of hunting left. Gonna keep plugging away at it. :D

 

Well it sounds like you have the right attitude to get one. Keep after it and keep us posted!

 

I will happen if you keep after it. I'm ready to get back out there, but I've also got some coyote control on my mind after they took one of the hams off my last doe.
