Atta boy Jeff. Great looking buck man. My Centroid finally made it in and got it set up this past weekend. Going to shoot like crazy this week and hopfully get out this weekend if things go right. Family issues are still in play so we'll see what happens. Keep up the great work guys. We've been seeing a increase of dead bucks on the roads of NC so me thinks it is fixin to get interesting around here. :tu:

Some cooler weather this weekend, really looking forward to it. I killed a bruiser 2 years ago this very weekend. I was grunting at a smaller buck, and he came in behind me tearing up trees, ready to kick some tail.
Some think its too early, I say IT'S ON!

Good job on the buck JJ!!
I was out of town running in a Tough Mudder last weekend and didnt get out to hunt. Sucked missing a weekend in archery season, but we had fun. Now, hopefully I can get out Thursday evening and again on Saturday.

Have a bit of a full schedule this weekend. Not thinking I'll have a chance to get out unless something changes.

Well I haven't seen a deer since passing that buck a while ago. 16 hrs since then with nothing. Its either going to be an extremely disappointing season or all come together during my 10 days if vacation starting the 29th. I still have faith.

Yes, True, how have you're seasons been going? Give us an update! Have you guys been out? Any good stories?

well it was looking like I was finally getting back out Sunday morning. temps hit high off 66 so it should make for a nice cool morning sit and the wind is in my favor.....Just checked and should be a full moon though. Ugh I hate full moons. My deer are up all night and never moving again till 12-2 and I only have the morning. Not sure if I wanna risk it. This full moon should kick off the Rut here. I am tempted just to wait it out and try again the following weekend. You guys ever have any luck on the mornings of a full moon?

Eric, you cant shoot a deer if you're not in the woods, go for it! As for me, I'm gonna hunt all day tuesday for the first time in a couple weeks. My boss gave me permission to hunt the 20 acres behind where I work because the deer keep eating all the plants out in the sales yard. I'll be hunting that spot all day. If there are as many deer as he says there are, I should at least see something.

My season has been extremely slow as of late. Seems I have just picked the wrong stand to hunt every day because I'm little brother has shot three does already. Hopefully the rut starts to heat up next week and we get some action.

I totally agree.. I'm in the woods every chance I get. I may stay away from my main spots now and then but you definitely won't get anything if you're not out there. You never know with hunting you could be at a totally new spot, just to stay away from main areas, and end up smacking down a monster. I say if you have the chance go, at least to somewhere you normally don't hunt.

Are you sure the arrow isnt tucked under some leaves or dirt that you may have over-looked?
