Looks like tomorrow morning is going to be good 49 degrees with a S.W. wind. 6 mph wind. Wet ground from today. I really want to go to my favorite stands but im not. Gotta wait till nov. 1. So ill be hunting a obscure location like i did the other time. Wish me luck terrors.

Forgot to charge my phone last night so I had to leave it in my truck while hunting this morning. Didn't see anything today and got pretty soggy.

 

Pretty slow over here. I passed a huge spike yesterday, sucker had a huge body, at least 2 1/2 yo.
But, I'm not the culling type.
A couple of does way out of range this morning.
Chilling in the truck, just now, had a warden stop and chat w/me.
Real nice guy!

 

I'm out here in ohio, windy and hot but hopefully these deer are on their feet before it storms tonight.

Got out yesterday morning. No deer. Just too warm. You know it's bad when you walk outside at 5:30 and it's already 62 degrees. Got up to mid 80's....and i decided not to go out in the evening. Luckily it's supposed to cool down a bit this week here...so I'm hoping to get out again wednesday evening.

 

Had that 13 pt at 35 yrds last night. Decided not to pull back on him. Now instead of wondering if I made the right decision I've got to shift my focus to putting down a monster

Good luck if you make it out man. A lot of people around here believe that the second full moon after the fall equinox is the trigger for the rut to start.....If that holds true, then the 18th is the magic date so we shall see what happens.

 

Found out later in the day at work that I have an opportunity for more OT Friday. So I'm jumping on that. :thumbup::D
