*****Team 12- Top Pin Terrors*****

Hey guys! Just checkin' in. My name is Mike and I'm from southeastern CT. This is my 2nd year bow hunting, but my 6th year deer hunting. I currently have 4 pieces of private property that I'll be hunting, all have some very good potential for this season. I know that 2 of the properties has some big bucks walking around, so hopefully I can put some antlers down this year. I'm pumped to see Remy as my teammate, he lives pretty close to me on the RI/CT boarder. Lets get it done this year and have some fun in the process! I can't wait for opening day!

Just want to give you guys a quick heads up before the season starts. Be prepared for some in-season frustration venting. I don't complain much but there's always a time during the season where I need to get a frustrating hunt off my chest, my girlfriend doesn't seem to understand sometimes.

Hey. My name is Lee. Retired from the Air Force last year and shot my biggest buck ever with a bow, all 88 inches of him. Most of my hunting life as far as whitetails go was with a bow in a 'brown its down' backcountry in upstate NY.
I now live and hunt in Maryland. I think I can safely say, you can count on a doe and a buck this year from me, but I am confident that its not going to be huge

That's the thing about this contest. It's not monster bucks that will win this. Last years winning team was 1300 points. We have 12 members. So if everyone gets a doe, we are at 600.....and almost halfway there. We have to be grinders and stick with it.

I shot with him the other day an every time I said buck he'd start shaking worse cause of buck fever I've ever seen lol
Bad thing is we were shooting bag targets an they didn't even have a picture of a buck on them

Ok guys, with 9 checked in lets get the ball rolling here. We need to work on picking a team name and selecting a captain.

Top Pin Terrors was suggested. Being team 12 and having 12 team members it might be fun to play off the number 12. Dirty Dozen, Dirt Nap Dozen, etc.

As far as a captain goes, I don't have a preference. I sit in front of a PC all day so I don't have an objection to doing it as I'll be here a lot anyway. It's won't hurt my feelings if someone else does it either though.

 

Good to see everyone checking so quickly. :D I have no objections to Eric being captain. Definitely makes sense seeing as how your in front of a comp a lot. I personally couldn't do it as I'm never in front of a computer really. 90% of the time I'm on here its on my phone on tapatalk. While on break or lunch at work.

 

I kinda like the ring that "Dirt Nap Dozen" has to it. Its cool that we ended up with being team 12 with 12 members and that name fits pretty well IMO. I'm open for other suggestions aswell.

Good to see some active participation. We nearly have the whole team checked in on the 2nd day. Some teams dont have more than 1 or 2 so far.
Eric is my vote for captain. As far as team name goes. I like TPT simply because i was on Dirt Nap Daydreamers last year which is similar to one of the suggestions. Im only 1 guy however and both of them sound sweet.

Like Eric said earlier its anyones contest. Just because we arent all in big buck country doesnt mean anything.

Yeah I am very flexible on the name as well. I was just thinking being team 12 with 12 members, playing off the dozen might be a good way to go. We have some time so we can throw some more out there and see what we come up with.

I like the Dirt Nap Dozen, but would be cool with whatever majority votes. Eric as captain is cool with me also....i'm only online usually later in the evenings as i have two young kids that keep me busy.

 

Sweet, only 2 guys left to check in! That's awesome. Once they check in we should definitely hold an official vote on the team name.

Eric I kinda think you're already the captain because you've taken the reigns pretty well already. And doing a great job so far, IMO. Haha :D

 

Mike that's awesome we ended up on the same team brother. We're close enough to meet up for a celebratory beer and cigar after we win this thing!! haha

Hell we can meet for a beer anytime really. :D
