Great bucks right there! I wanna see those antlers hit the ground this year.

Following up on my evening sit tonight. I missed 14 yard chip shot on a doe. I misjudged the yardage and sailed one right over her. She didnt know what the heck happened and busted me trying to knock another arrow. She happened to be standing next to the only tree within 20 yards of me that I forgot to range in as a reference. Embarrassing yet I'm thankful it was a clean miss.

Well I've been skunked the last 3 sits. No deer to speak of. I've been just fooling around behind my house though. Headed down south on my next days off(Sunday, Monday) to try and put down a swamp donkey or two. Hopefully I see some action.

I would've loved to have been in the woods today but , when the boss asks if you'd like 10 hours overtime, you don't pass that up. :D Especially this time of year. Haha

Well I had a little action this morning. I had a small doe at 10 yards, but didn't pull the trigger. I was at full draw on the doe when I heard movement behind me. I turned my head and saw another deer, but by the time I realized it was a little forkhorn, the doe moved and my shot was no good. Another 5-10 seconds and I would have pulled the trigger. Oh well.

Great to see some more of you guys hitting the woods. A couple more days, and I think everyone is in season.

The energy 35 is definitely on my hitlist. That thing looks amazing. I just really want an Elite. They are such smooth bows. I think a leftover 2013 is more my budget though.

Have any of you guys been seeing any decent bucks from the stand at all this year? I'll be honest, the first hard antlered deer I've seen yet (that wasnt a spike) during shooting hours was a little 3 pointer in my back yard last night. I've seen fresh rubs popping up in places, no new scrapes though. Just wondering if you guys have even seen any.
