I'm gonna be filling my freezer as fast as possible aswell. Actually just got a new chest freezer last week for all the meat I'll HOPEFULLY be getting this season. In the past I've kept most of my meat in the stand up freezer at my folks house.

Here's what the weather is supposed to be like in my neck of the woods for my opener. Wish it were cooler but I can live with this as long as some crazy heat wave doesn't show up. uploadfromtaptalk1379067811106.jpg

Arrived at the cabin. Snuck out to the tree and hung my climber in the pitch black of night.
It's gonna be nice and cool in the morning, I already got bats in my stomach:)
    It's ON, WoooHooo!!!

I have a couple little things to decide today. Its looking like the wind may not want cooperate with me for my first stand location. I may end up switching to a different spot for tomorrow morning if the wind doesn't change. :(

Well I saw 4 does but they never got closer than about 70 yards. I was gonna do an evening hunt but decided not to because I have to work tomorrow and I don't want to end up having to track a deer at night if I don't have the next day off.

Great work Fred. My leg finally healed up enough to get out tonight. My oldest (5) has been driving me nuts so I took him for a ground blind sit. didn't see anything but with chatty id I didn't see anything. Decided to pull out with about 20-30 minutes of light left so the boy would not be in the dark. As we crested the hill we were spotted by 4 does. Had I been on my own we might have had a shot but you never know. I am thankful for a long season. lol. We have a pretty ill family member that will require a schedule change on my part. Going to have limited time for a couple weeks while we work through this. I am going to try to get out in the morning as well. I would love to knock down a doe in the morning and get ready for a solid buck. Keep up the great work guys and keep grinding.
