Just drove by the hunting grounds and the Combine was rolling through the Corn Beans are due to be picked in the next week leaving less places to hide for the deer
Hopefully they are all trying to hide under our stands this year. I really need a buck this year. LOL This will be my first day in a stand. Wish me luck.

I passed a 23 yard shot on a low 130's 8 point tonight. Just couldnt make myself drop the string. Was a good hunt and has me extra excited to get back out there and track down one a little bigger. If you are interested in the read, I made a blog entry on the hunt.
Scott I read the blog, great little read. This week has been killing me, cant wait until saturday. I'm still having issues with my login password but cant seem to get ahold of anyone.
You could try calling the office, or PM rockingchair. I cant help you out with that myself. I saw the 8 from yesterday again tonight. 5 other yearling bucks and 2 does. All were within 15 yards of me at one time or another, I sure hope my season keeps this course
Thanks for the advice. I sent him a message last thursday though. Looks like your scouting is really paying off. Are you targeting acorns?
I am targeting bedding areas, I am trying to get as close to the beds as I can, to increase my odds of catching them in daylight.
Nice. Thats good to hear. Makes me feel like i'm doing something right. I'll be doing the same thing this weekend on our opener. Unless the wind does something crazy i'll be sitting in the same spot all day. I'm gonna get there super early, hopefully it pays off. I saw a couple bruisers this summer at this spot.
