I'll probably get one this wednesday for a quick evening hunt. My vacation starts friday through the end of the season. Now i just need to get a decent buck in front of me. Good luck to everyone.

Saw two bucks tonight, a small four point that got within 100 yards and a small 1 1/2 year old eight that was giving me all kinds of shot opportunities. Here is a pic of the cute little 8 pointer, hope Hunlee doesn't show up to kill him before his prime;)

Well, I don't think I will get back out till Thursday night with the predicted winds. Things will be cooling down a bit and hoping the big boys start moving in daylight.

Rally Hats??? Don't forget your camera!!!

I will be hitting the Blackhawks game tonight and then sitting in the morning, the wind will be down to 19mph with a WSW wind. The temps will be in the 20's and 30's so hopefully there will be some action.

I was out there and boy was it windy! 38 mph winds yesterday and I still saw 6 deer but they came by my ground blind at 15 yards but only could tell they where deer and that is all. Could not tell if they where bucks or does. I think the last one was a buck due to him stopping at a scrape and messing around it. I know the tree that he was at and it has two scrapes about 4 feet apart from each other. I did not go out this morning due to a stumache bug but vacation starts on Nov. 3rd and will not go back untill Dec. 6th so I am ready. This weekend is off due to my birthday gift my family got me. We are going to see Jerrod Niemann in concert this saturday! He is playing here in Pontiac! He was brought in by the local country station. Should be a great time. Good luck buddy! I hope to text you many more kills! LOL

I wish I could have went out this morning. I went out last night fresh scrape tracks the size of my hand and nothing came through. Wake up this morning and I have no one at work to cover and it is 33 out light to no wind. I really hate being an adult sometimes.:bash:

I saw 16 deer total this morning that were within 50 yards of me but no bucks. I was going to take a mature doe but the only ones close enough were still 45 yard quartering to shots so I passed. I did see a deer I haven't seen yet this year down by my usual morning set, the wind wasn't right this morning and will not be until Sunday morning so I will be after him then. All I can say is that he is Booner material and then some. I had four yearlings in a group at the watering hole this morning, it was fun watching them play around for 30 minutes. Not gonna make it out tonight but will be back in stand in the morning and all day Sunday. Things are heating up and it looks like the does are dropping the yearlings so the chase could start any day:rock:

We got a another buck down for the BBK, sounds like our Homie is rolling with a 4 beam buck!

I will be after a tall beamed buck in the morning, he appears to be holding where I took the picture in the fog the other day.

i got skunked today. Seems like everywhere i go, i'm running into other hunters. I hiked a mile back into some public land today only to have a guy come off the private land and hunt near me. Its getting aggravating.

Today I was at full draw waiting for a solid 140-150 eight to take two more steps at 4:30PM. I was hunting a stand that I just hung yesterday morning after seeing activity with my Binoc's from another stand. The deer took a step forward and started to run just as I fired. About a minute later a guy who's family used to own the property walks in not knowing what just transpired. The guy has been told he can no longer hunt the property by the guy we let stay on the property when we got access from the new owners. He used to park where I do but appeared to come in from another property. I confronted him asking why he was there and why the stand wasn't moved. He said he was there to remove it though he had a Hoyt in his hand which I called out. To say he ruined my hunt was an understatement; however, he took the stand down and left with me snapping a pic from the tree. An hour latter I almost had another buck that was a solid 10 in the 140's show up and get within 40 yards but wouldn't get any closer before walking out into the field. I will be back in the same stand in the morning, here is the trespassing bastard.
