Unfortunately we didn't get a buck on the ground during the KS ML season. It was a great season though as we saw shooter bucks every night, but one. Just couldn't get a clear shot or they were just out of range. But it was great to see some bucks & a couple new ones that I don't have game cam pics of.

I'm going to be out for about a couple weeks. Headed north to Ontario today for some ML hunting. Hopefully i'll have some pics when I get back. Good luck to you all out hunting.

Well guys, so far no bucks for me. Passed on a nine and eight and a broken racked deer that would be a small eight on opening day and haven't had a buck in shooting distance since. I will be off from the 23rd of October until November 15th, until then I won't get out much. When I do come back to work I will be on the 12-9 schedule so I can hunt mornings for the remainder of the season. Sooner or later the big ten or eleven will come through!

I won't be in the zone this weekend.... Going to do a show for BowTech at the Columbus PBR event Friday and Saturday. The zone will then be reinstated.

Oh Fiddlesticks, the wife has to have an In Vitro procedure done on Saturday so I am out the whole day and I got a wedding tomorrow night. Looks like the morning will be my only hope.

I'm back from Canada... Unfortunately no dice on deer, but had a great time. I did shoot a timber wolf though.

Now it's time for some serious bowhunting here in KS... Game On!

Those paws are huge. Definetly not something I would want to run into heading to a stand early morning.

Arrowed a 10pt on Saturday evening. Him and a group of bucks were out feeding on a milo feild at 150 yards away. I did some soft grunts and tickled the tines together, and eventually this guy worked over my way. He was drinking at a little puddle at 26 yards when I let the arrow fly. Made a double-lung shot on him and he went maybe 45 yards before crashing.

Not the biggest of a buck of the bunch, but i'm happy with him. I recognized this buck as one I have several game cam pictures of him from both in and out of velvet. Casi did a good job getting it all on video. It's kind of crazy to bowhunt over 50 times last year and not get a buck, and then shoot one out on the 1st evening this year. The 1st time i've ever done that.

Awesome, that leaves 3 more of us with a buck tag to fill! I start my vacation on the 23rd and won't be back to work until the 16th of November!

I was going to add 50 points this morning but the dang bucks started chasing behind mechdocs stand. I had a nice mature doe but she had three little ones with her so I passed, shortly after there was a ruckus and within two hours had several bucks come through, though none were shooters. I might hunt out of Mojito's favorite stand of mine to pirate so I can shoot a doe tomorrow for 50 points. We are one buck and three does short of closing out our scorecard so lets get crackin!

No pressure or anything Dubbya but we need another good 10 to add to the mix so god luck brother!!

Alright boys, you get to nanny whackin. I'm headed back to Kansas this weekend for another shot at it, the wind blew like hell all weekend and we still saw LOTS of rut activity. I won't tell you how many deer we saw over 130" because you wouldn't believe me anyway. I let a mid 130's walk on the first night because I didn't think he was as big as he was. Anyway, I've got the entire rest of the season to hunt Kansas if I want to and of course... the rut down here is just now kicking in. Hopefully I'll be headed out tomorrow night for a 3-day, daylight to dark expedition. Let's win this bad boy.

Don't you guys think it's funny that a guy from Ohio goes and kills the biggest deer yet to come out of PA?
