Teams all checked in! Welcome Rob. Good to be on the same team again. Think it was a few years ago, we were on the same team. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
You guys have arguably one of the strongest teams. We look forward the competition. Good luck securing second place Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Unfortunately for you guys your reign of terror is over… Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
What a perfect moment I just had seeing this for the first time. I'm not sure why it hit me so funny, but bravo! I'm sitting around a fire currently, waiting to roast some marshmallows with my girls. My new puppy is digging holes in the dirt behind me... I have to break her of that, and it's T-13 days until opener! Life is great Sorry for the steam of consciousness there, but damn we're lucky and sometimes you just have to acknowledge it Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Nothing else to do around here right now so I’m headed out bowfishing for the night ha recommend it to any that haven’t tried it! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I used to bow fish years ago. As that last Pic eludes to, I live on a lake that has a spring run of carp up and down my shoreline. I'll probably get back into it next year. This is our second summer here, and we're still busy remodeling the house. Since we moved in (January 2023), we've put in new flooring and windows, gutted a bathroom, and added space for a tub. Added an island to the kitchen and put in new appliances. Currently, we're painting the exterior and should be done working for the year... apart from fall cleanup, by the opener! We've done everything ourselves except the windows and patio doors. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
We got a big cool down this week. Not supposed to get out of the 70's all week. This Friday is opener! Usually opening week is in the 90's Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Lucky dogs…still waiting on the 28th here. Haven’t got a picture of any bucks since they’ve cut the corn. Hoping they’re on acorns that might have started to drop Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Looks like the deer shift is happening right now. The deer here have completely change there pattern. Time to find those acorns and secondary food spots. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I really wish Wisco opened this weekend. Huge cold front with lows in the 30's. Then it's back up to 80 for a high for the opener. I was hoping to get everything all finished up this weekend but was pretty miserable with a bug for the entire weekend. I did get more done than I should have. I have two sets to hang and then everything is as it should be. I will have plenty of permanent sets and the ability to stay mobile with a wolf climber and a ultra light hang and bang set up. I also enjoy a good blind sit every now and then. What are all your preferred set ups?
Five years ago I switched to saddle hunting and haven’t looked back. Not saying it’s for everyone but I couldn’t imagine hunting another way at least for now how I hunt. I also one stick which is absolutely mind blowing awesome haha. But I am a public land warrior in my heart. Always have been besides this one private farm I have to hunt. Even there I am like a pinball and hardly ever hunt the same spot more than once. Too poor for 35 set ups hahahah
Im also saddle. But do it as a hybrid with a micro lock on stand. Use 3 sticks to climb the tree. Im about 90 percent public hunting, so also have to be moble. But even on the private pieces i hunt, i just use my moble setup. No presets for me. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
What saddle set ups are you guys using? Do you guys set up a saddle in the dark? I like an early morning preset for ease and safety getting in the tree. In the pm I will hang from my dingleberries if I have to! I sold my left testicle for 80 acres in central wisconsin but I grew up in the county forest so I still hunt that as it's only 1/2 mile from my house. If you are wondering about my right testicle........don't. I've been married for 13 years.
