I don't even know how to hunt a farm! My biggest permission piece is 52 acres (shared with like 6 dudes) and it's all woods.

I was gifted a NJ farm, for hunting, a few years ago. Most of it is corn. There are probably 30 acres of total woods. I pretty much have stands set up in those woods, since I mostly bow hunt. I just find there trails and then took a couple years to watch patterns. The farm is also surrounded by woods on two sides, bean field on the third and a vineyard on the forth. So I had to take that into consideration. Two other guts hunt it some years but mostly it's just me so it's pretty cool to figure them out, find a good Buck and hunt them all year. It also let's me leave the little Bucks alone or for the kids to come hunt.

Just treat as the 10 percent rule. Find the best 10 percent of it and hunt it like you normally do. If there are a few good spots, then treat it as if its different properties. And bounce around and hunt these areas accordingly.

On a large property, im usually only hunting 1 percent of it. Just use the rest for my entrance and exit. I was hunting one farm that was 400 acres. I rarely needed to hunt outside of about 3 acres. It was the best spot on farm for amount of deer and the ability to get in and hunt them. Sure there was other good areas, but didnt need to use it, this spot had it all.

Armed scouting missions tomorrow and Sunday mornings. I know there are deer on this property... i just don't know where they are currently or whether they are simply using it as a nighttime path between bed and food.
Either way, I'll gather some intel this weekend that'll be useful for the remainder of this season.

Sat in a blind this morning. No deer were harmed.

This freaking tank has been hanging around recently...

I'm back fellas. I had a week off and was able to get down to Kansas for the crazy wind and rain. I only had 3.5 days to hunt and didn't get it done. I suck at scoring deer but I will get mine all wrapped up this week. This seems to be a habit for me this time of year. I usually become a ghost when I head out of state and add Wisconsin rifle season and my daughters birthday and I'm not online at all over a two weekish period. Kind of nice really. I was hoping to come back to another 300 points added to our score!!! Oh well, there is still time. Good luck to you all.

To bad you didn't have better luck in Kansas. Good to have you back. Any questions on scoring, just ask away.

Had me worried there for a second hahaha post your score sheet on here first with some pics of your buck and we will see what we think if you aren’t super confident doing it. We are still out here grinding. I know I am at least ha. Gun season is next week. Really hoping to get a buck down. First year in 4 years I haven’t been tagged out before gun season. Fighting Demons not to pick up the muzzleloader…been a rough hard season here

Too late. Had to look it up.

@GeminiRidge - you need to add the time of the kill to your scorecard entry post.
