Had two doe walking by at 40…wouldn’t come any closer. Had a nice shot at one but with as warm as it got today I didn’t wanna risk it. Back to work for me. I’ll be out Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Next week have a shutdown week so will be hitting it hard! Feels good getting back on public! Seeing deer and getting to stretch my legs ha

What do you guys think about an early October mid-day sit? I'm thinking about calling in sick on Monday and then hunting 9-3 (around the kids' bus schedule). 15° temp drop and a wind switch to North.

There are days that im driving around and see deer on their feet middle of day. If you have a food source, then definitely a chance. Might be slow most of the day though.

I do a lot of hunts like this. Almost got a doe doing it the other day. I usually try to hunt in bedding and still hunt my way in. It works though! Especially if there is a wind shift throughout the day and believe it or not really sunny days. I find on sunny days deer shift more in their bedding. I honestly believe it’s because the sun gets in their eyes. Witnessed it first hand.

Believe it or not I shot two coyotes this morning! First sit without seeing a deer. Probably for obvious reasons ha. Makes 3 yote I got this week. Crazy. In other news we are leading this thing fellas! Let’s keep the ball rolling and knock down a couple more doe before the Super Bowl hits!

No hunting from me this weekend.

I did cut up my doe and got half in the freezer today. I ran out of freeze bags and had to order more. Stinks to have to finish it tomorrow evening. Might get out this Tuesday to hunt.

Looks like I won’t get out until Wednesday. Then I’ll be hitting it hard until Sunday

This is where I'm doing the mid-day hunt tomorrow. Hope a 3 year old doesn't tempt me!

What a sh!tshow! I bought all new early season camo last fall, proceeded to lose 60 pounds, and now everything is way too big. I went to throw it all in the wash and don't have any hunting detergent. It took 20 mins to find my ScentCrusher unit. Let's see what else goes wrong...

Haha! Good luck on the hunt. You need to get that first one done to figure out everything.
