Yeah no one enjoys it that’s for sure. What you’re feeling will change when you put your hands on him tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
At shot sight. Starting to grid. Also figured the whole property is empty except the spot i need to go to. Then i ran into the guys setup on the way in. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I'm not sure if you know anybody with a dog but just throwing that out there to get you thinking about it. Or just find him quick and be done with it. That would be even better! I'm sure you know the drill. They love water in these situations.
I had 2 bucks come in last night, together. I found there beds. He didn't make it back to it last night. Search continues. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Gotta be right? I'm on pins and needles waiting this out. Either that or I've been sitting on the toilet too long and my legs fell asleep.
Sorry, i didn't update here. I jumped him. Still alive. The arrow is still in him. Decided to back out and wait til the morning to continue the search. He just ran out of his bed too fast to think i could catch back up to him. I walked up on him and he didn't move until i was less then 10 yards from him. It was so thick, i couldn't see him, before he spotted me. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Dang that’s crazy after 24 hours. If you got that close he didn’t go far. You’ll find him tomorrow in his second bed. Is he leaving much blood or all plugged up Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Zero blood. I went and stood in his bed. Couldnt find anything other then white hair. I have white fletchings on my arrows and they were stained brown from guts or blood. The shot was right were i thought i saw, but he had about 8-10 inches of arrow sticking out still. So arrow was in farther then i thought. Cant believe he was still alive, i was shocked. Also i followed track for 20 yards, just to see if he was bleeding from running, but nothing. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
still progress was made, good luck tomorrow exciting times! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I think I’d be lining a dog up for tomorrow honestly. Well good luck bud! He’s gotta expire soon if you are in the guts. These animals never cease to amaze me. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I will find him. A dog would speed it up, but I dont need to rush it. Want to keep him on the property and worry a dog would push him off. This is public land and being hunted daily by others. I dont know how the other hunters would take a dog running around. I have a feeling he will be laying dead in there tomorrow. Just might take me 4 hours to find him, haha!
