Your spot looks good, at the corner of the field and 30yds in or so. Is there any water around? Do you have a bigger arial photo?
I’d definitely feel confident hunting that! Good luck man! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
NJ opens Saturday and I'll be in a tree. Can't wait. First time in 5yrs that I've been able to go out opening day. Have to shoot a Doe first per NJ regs in September. So First baldy without spots gets an arrow. Then it's on to Buck patrol, though I may take a second Doe if I feel like it. Fiance and boys will all be hunting, so how much meat do you need in the freezer. I do like to donate a deer to NJ Hunters for the Hungry and hand out some here in VT. If we take 7-8 deer a year, we can consume and give away that much pretty easily.
I spoke with the owner with the property N/NE of my stand. Older gentleman who has one stand by his pond behind his house. Said the guy directly east of me doesn't hunt and did not know about the property behind him, N/NW of me, Property with the low swampy area. Said he takes one deer a year and that's usually it. Doe or buck, which ever walks by first. He has a place up at Lake Erie and is there about 4 days a week fishing.
That looks like its going to be a really good setup. Those inside corners are great pinch points Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Opener in MN is also this weekend. It's going to be a hot weekend, however, mid 80's or so. I'm sure I'll get out just to be out in the woods but it would have to be a good buck to make me take a shot in that kind of weather (or a real chip shot on a doe, i.e. sub 10 yards). It'll be great to be in the saddle again! Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
I will be out in Wisconsin as well. At least one evening I will be in the blind with my two daughters. We are not the stealthiest crew when we are all together.
Well good news and bad news. Bad news for me is it doesn’t look like my seed is gonna sprout. Been a week and they’re just laying there like roasted peanuts ha. Good news is I hung another camera today on a mock scrape trying to get eyes on my shooters for ehd reasons and within a couple hours I got two of them running together and hard horned! Shot 3 sets of arrows yesterday, that gets the confidence in the right place for a quality shot. Brother in law coming to the forest today, may half to go for a sit. Temps cooling down in ky Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting .com Forums
Are you going to sit to get away from him, or will he be your second set of eyes? Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
That’s the pro dominant wind around here ha. Might as well go out and send it! Hoping September 28th some slick heads start hitting the ground! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
This week has not been good for me to get out hunting. Work and kids sports are getting in the way. Hoping on Friday evening i will get out. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
No doubt. Sometimes you just have to say to hell with it! I will definitely be out. I don't mind messing things up every once in awhile. Just ask my wife.
Gotta keep em guessing I always say hahaha good luck bud! I’ve obviously always have anticipated a season opener, but this year is different. My bass boats been out of commission since early July and I just CANNOT wait until the 28th! We opened the 15th in CWD counties and I almost made a trip north ha. But I couldn’t imagine what the public land in those counties look like… Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
