Loosing land like that sux. I had a beautiful piece of bottom land a few years ago, two creeks and nearly all mature oaks. The land owner died and the family wanted money. They cut all the oaks over sixteen inches the week before bow season I ended giving up the lease the next year as it was nearly impossible to hunt with a bow.

Checking In. Live in Kansas. We own 20 acres of river bottom timber. This year my son and I decided to try our hand at building an elevated deer stand. Below are a couple pics of the build in progress. Its ready to go but in order to get it to the land we need a week of no rain. And so far that hasn't happened. We are a little behind all the way around. Still need to get food plots in and the rest of the tree stands up. We did get the cameras back out but haven't gotten a chance to check them. Excited to be on the team with all of you. Seems like a fun team to be on by the posts so far.

That blind is going to be sweet. Keep posting up pics. I love those projects.

Tony must still be out looking for arrows that he lost last year. ??

I actually got your permission to use it a couple of years ago. It's been there ever since.

I remember that now! Wow, flashback. Are you still running? I need to start, getting old and fat. I have to do something besides sit at a desk all day and drink craft beer all evening. Something about that pattern does not sit well with my shape. I guess round is a shape.

Nope, I'm not running any more. I put the check in the marathon box and hung up the running shoes. The physical toll it was taking was just too much. I still find a lot to do to keep busy, but I do spend a lot of time sitting behind my desk and drinking beer also. :)

We will have to talk sometime and catch up.

So does anyone else have any great bucks on camera already? I have several on the property that I lost so technically I have nothing at this point yet
