Nice I was jus starting to work on this years plots when I lost the property. Glad I wasn't further along when it happened? What quad is that? I bought myself a new one last fall and love it. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
It's a 2010 Honda. I picked the disc up used a few years ago. It will do the job until the budget works for a tractor. Got one kill plot done today and also an experimental plot that I'm hoping will work out. I was able to chop out about a three acre area down in the bottoms leaving young red and white oaks, persimmons, hickory and a few pines. That area is real wet so the plot there will be the experiment.
Just thought I'd post something to get us back on the 1st page. Haven't shot much lately but plan to get out this weekend. I just want to make sure it's still sighted in and that nothing is broken. -D
I signed up for my first 3D this Sunday, so I'm excited for that. Otherwise this weekend is checking cameras and trimming a few shooting lanes for me
I haven't gotten to shoot 3D too many times, but it's really fun. I wish there was a place close to me that had a course.
Pulled camera cards today. This is on the plot I didn't disc in. Lots of black locust came back up so I need to dig it out again but got a new buck on the camera.
Since the season not officially open yet in Texas. Harvey, has slowed the city to a crawl! I replaced my strings & cables, put silencers on, served my peep & drop-away. I did it myself, while watching the news on tv about the devastation of hurricane Harvey! Thank God, my family and home has been blessed so far. Most of Houston is under water at this time. glad your ok Katt72. my daughter lives just outside corpus in robstown and she and the family evacuated up to the austin area for a few days. she went back home on sunday but said it was crazy stuff
Stay dry Katt72. Headed to Texas with our Disaster Response Team tomorrow. If your season opens before I get back, good luck. Talk to y'all in a couple of weeks.
Stay dry and take care! Glad everything is OK for you so far. My older brother (retired) and his wife live on a 37 foot sail boat. They docked the boat in Guatemala for hurricane season and have been visiting family and friends in the US for the past month or so. Before they left the states for Mexico a few months ago they were staying in a harbor just south of Houston. So glad they are not in the middle of this. Take good care of yourself. -D
