I'm a concrete man myself, set of steps today and Saturday is a huge basement pour. Freakin thing has a go kart in it. Stay cool, it's going to be hot. Got my stand hung yesterday.
I poured concrete for 8 yrs and got out 6 yrs ago. My specialty was foundation walls but I did swimming pools and flat work too. At least we'll have something to talk about if we have a slow day.
Concrete work is no joke! I didn't enjoy doing it myself. I am down for the number exchange, mine is below. I will be hanging out at the ft Riley conservation office all night to ensure I get my access permit for archery season. I have a bunch of stands hung already and doing more Sunday and Monday. 785-317-4886 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think it's a g30. Not sure, I hunt with a couple of the guys from BHOD and that's actually their camera.
The teams I have been on the last 3 years have finished First, Fourth and Third. We had a simple plan, everyone shoot a doe and get those 25 points each and enough guys would shoot bucks to keep us in it. Hopefully we can all shoot a doe and enough guys will get some bucks to knock Team 10 from the top
Just checking in to say Hi. Still no keys Starting to get worried. I dont want to bother the guy but I cna not do any recon until I have those gate keys.
Rodney I hope you get them soon. Nothing worse than having to wait to scout and not knowing what is going on where you are supposed to hunt.
Got off work early today say ran to my far spot to check cams & hang a stand. I have 2 buck tags & 4 doe tags so I hope to contribute Tom. Doe shouldn't be a problem but a P&Y buck is a good one where I hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks like some concrete Guys here ! I do masonary work so every once in awhile we do a concrete pour ! Both masonary and concrete pours are a good workout! Good thing about masonary work is most of it slows way down during the cold months and that gives me plenty of time in the deer woods to freeze my rear off !
Thankfully, no I have one more small pour to do tomorrow morning, then it's off to check some cameras. After a $750 repair bill I have my ATV back, so things should go a lot easier this time. Hopefully I have some big deer to report back with.
My son went hunting last year for the first time. Got a little doe with the rifle me and him built. Dropped it at 135yds. He's almost money at the 10inch plate @300 yds, not bad being 9yrs old.
Checked a camera this morning after getting my access permit for Fort Riley and found this guy. Looks like another one for the "hit list"
I was unaware of that. I am open for any name. Buffalo County I see you hunt. That through an outfitter or do you know some people in that area?
Ya Jeff and Craig. They will be joining me on one of my farms once my partner and I have filled tags. We have 3 buck tags apiece so it could be awhile.
Nice buck there too! Team is looking good, sounds like a good plan to get a doe then try to get a buck. Lots of concrete guys here I've done just a little bit of that and it is definitely a workout. No kids here I'm 18. How old are you guys?
My daughter (9) & my son (4) both love the outdoors as do I. My daughter bow hunts with me quite frequently. She got a "real" bow for her birthday & is slowly working toward legal draw weight. (35lbs in ND). My son & I are going scouting in a few hours & he is super excited.
I am 45 my son Justin is 13 and my daughter Allison is 10. I used to hunt 30-40 days a year by myself. Now I hunt 10ish myself and take my kids out close to 30 days. They have been very lucky so far and hopefully that will continue. My sons buck at 10 years old. His first doe and turkey at 11 He shot 2 does last year one with his slug gun at 120 yards and his first deer with a bow at 12. Here is my daughters first deer at 10. Here are the turkeys my kids shot this spring.
