Well I lost the area I was hunting and don't have a back up. So I guess I'll be packing a climber out to public lands. Only tip I've gotten as far as public lands is pass up at least 2 spots you'd hunt and keep going deeper and if your in that deep you might as well make a full day if it.
Trust me if I had pics of him before the season and knew how old he was I would have let the air out of him. I couldnt see how big his body was in the crp and by his spindly rack I thought he might be 3 1/2. He is showing himself A LOT and I dont think he will live more than 10 days.
Nice ! Well the last few days bucks have been dropping left and right on our lease ! All I seen today was a small buck chasing a doe! And about 200 yrds from me a friend arrowed a nice 8 point! Sooner or later it's gona be my turn!

Well fellas they are moving in Kansas. Probably saw six different bucks and a bunch of does tonight. Hit a doe but I have to let her lay over night as the hit was not as good as I would have liked. Got plenty of bright red blood on the back section of the arrow but none on the front half. I didn't get a pass through but found my arrow fifty yards from the point of impact. There wasn't much of a blood trail and it was tough to see in the dark. Will look hard for her tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well unfortunately we couldn't find the doe. The search started off bad when I found the first blood and it was just little droplets. We followed little droplets of blood for three hundred yards averaging one drop everything ten yards or so. We searched probably a two square mile area and found no evidence of her being fatally wounded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The buck I was hoping to hunt during the Iowa gun season was shot the last couple of days I wont lie I felt like puking when I heard the news. I have thought about this buck A LOT since I got a text pic of the shed.
