Looks like I'll make opening day.
Finally got my Faktor doing what I want it to do.
It's been a nightmare trying to get thing tuned.
I'm going to sit with ma lady opening day. Going to do my best to get her on deer first.

 

Got out last night for an evening sit. Had a big fat nanny doe @ 15 yards for 5-7 minutes directly facing me. Never did offer me a broadside/quartering away shot until it was too dark to pick her up in my peep.

is there a limit to how many bucks that we get to score or are we allowed to score one per team member?

 

Only your first buck counts toward your buck score. If you shoot a second buck it can count 50 as your doe.

Well I got out last night and it was pretty slow.. Saw 3 doe and passed on a young 9 point. I thought I was in the money bc this nine point has been running with one of the bucks I am after but he was alone last night. That's how it goes it seems. Here is a pic of the buck I passed. I'll get a lil video clip up soon.

 

Cameras are out and give it til this weekend to see what we got.

 

Opening day in Kansas! Feels good to be in a tree in my home state! Hopefully I can duplicate my Canada success and knock down a doe early!

Just checking in. I haven't gotten out yet but hoping to soon. Haven't checked cameras in a little while but I might have to soon. Getting really excited to get out for the first time! Good luck everyone!

 

Hopefully everyone had a good start to the season. I didnt fill a tag but did get some video of one of the bucks on my hit list as well as daytime photos of three others. I'm hitting the tree again on Sunday and I'm holding out for one of the big boys.

I got a text from the farmer tonight to call him tomorrow. I sent a text back asking good or bad news and he texted back good I will find out for sure tomorrow but I am pretty sure I am getting back in on my lease at least part of it.

 

Work was slow today so I got the day off.
So I'm sitting here waiting on deer.

 

Two more shooters for me although there are bigger deer on the farm. Would you shoot or pass? I'm a wisconsin resident and I have two buck tags and will earn another when I shoot a doe. Decisions,decisions.
