Had two small 8 point bucks within range last night. Had a doe coming in from my left. All of sudden heard something in the corn. A coon come out getting chased by a coyote. I turn and draw across my body to my right. Shot quick but missed. Coyote stopped chasing when I drew. 20 yards. I probably rushed the shot, but thought he would be gone quickly. Yes. Hitting scrapes. Smaller bucks are moving and searching. More deer being hit on the road. Should be better after this full moon. Big deer should be up soon during days. Due to changing jobs, I've got both Thursday and Friday off next week. I'm hoping that I can spend a significant amount of time hunting at least one of them.

after kids go down tonight im making the 105 mile drive to cabin to hunt Saturday. my father in law got there this morning and took a picture of 6 turkey running around and said the security cameras on cabin are so filled with video of deer moving that he cant watch them all.
I set up a blind in a new spot this morning. Lots of travel sign. It's a funnel between two bedding areas. Best thing about this spot is that it works with just about any wind. I hope to get back out there and hunt it next week.
