Good luck to every hunting today. My crew and I will hunt S. Dakota until 11am. Then it’s the long drive back to Colorado. It’s a pleasant morning. No wind and the air temp is about 60 degrees. Yesterday it was doe after doe with zero bucks sighted. I have everything crossed for a buck to pop up today.

    have fun out there!

Will be out in the am, scratched out a few pheasants in some tremendous wind this morning.

I’m trying to find another deer for us. I blew an opportunity this morning. Hopefully this evening my luck will change

I’m back to work for a couple days. The bucks are really starting to move in my area. Got a pic of a good one we have our eye on. He will definitely get dead if he comes within sub 40 yds of me. The few hunts I did manage to squeeze in the past week we kind of boring but I know how it goes. It can crack open any minute. IMG_0942.jpeg IMG_0940.png Resized_Screensho.jpeg
My buddy shot a real nice 3.5yo we didn’t have pics of

Got my white tail buck. He would score higher than my first one but at least I put 50 points on the board. I will get pictures

Weekend Update: Only got out Saturday. Saw one little buck and that was it. Never got out Sunday, it was cold rain with some sunshine patches here and there. I basically talked myself into staying home all day, but I have a feeling it would have been a good mid to late day to hunt.
Going to wash all my gear and prep for the Missouri trip. Leaving Thursday morning to meet Little Chief at his place. I think it's about 3.5/4hr easy drive. I'm not sure I'll get out before then, but I plan on sitting as much as my hips, back, and buns will allow.

Had a great encounter with a shooter this am, just wouldn't close the distance. Not chasing too hard here yet.

Well I’m coming down with a fever. May have to take tomorrow off… especially since this guy came by same spot within 15 min apart 2 days in a row. This cam is set up on a scrape line . IMG_0964.png IMG_0962.png

Had to work today. I work 24s, so I only work a couple days a week.

    It's like they know.

Cool to see the bobcat, haven't had one on camera in a few months. Screenshot_20251104_205507_Reveal.jpg 860322062572414-100-3-11042025105814-W1005940.jpg

That is cool - I've never seen one in person myself, but I have gotten a few this year on my cameras.

Going to finish packing this afternoon, head to MO for super duper hunting weekend early tomorrow morning. My plan is to arrive NLT 9/10am (4hr drive) to say hi and a quick scout.
Washed and repacked all my gear & equipment, going to pack chow, coolers, and 4-wheeler. If I can't sleep, I'll take off as early as I can. Hopefully, I can put my hands a deer or two before I head home. Really excited to put "home" on the back side of the brain and push deer to the forefront.

I booked a flight back to Ohio for December 31-January 4th. The plan is to at least get another 50 points for the team. We are doing well. Keep pouring it on!

Here's where we stand. We are in first place with 599-4/8":

Dizzy- has a buck left to contribute.
    S.McArthur
    FransonB- tagged out with 180-4/8"
    Shocker
Iamyourhuckleberry-has 50 more points to contribute
    Trlblzr3
    EntropyFx
    Oldcarp-tagged out with 144"
    CountOnMyVote-tagged out with 151-4/8"

The rut is about to start, and great cam photos are coming in. Based upon past seasons and scores, 1200 points wins the season. We are halfway there! We can do this! Let's bring it home!
