It’s just nice to be able to text for when we are hunting and stuff. Idk about you guys but this app drains my battery for some reason.

Also I went to get broadheads today. No magnus…they’re on back order for who knows how long..decided to go with good ole fashioned muzzy 3 blade lol those things have killed more deer than CWD so why not. Shot my first deer when I was 10 with one ha. 6 for $35 so I said let’s go haha

Gonna take some targets out to the prop and shoot some distances today and make sure my bows are all dialed in. I’m chomping at the bit to get out, I’ll prob pull some cards and trim a couple lanes on my one stand.

Man you have no idea hahaha pretty sure I’m driving everyone nuts around me lol. I have a 3D shoot to go to next weekend. Have went every year for the last 22 years to it. Just a fun shoot. But these last couple weeks are crawling by…

I'll be heading east the following week myself, 2 weeks before opening pulling cards and making my finally decision on what tree to saddle hunt out of. Agree with @Kyle Rayburn , it sure is draggin'. just hoping for a cool Oct. this year. We just finally seen low 60's in the morning the last few days here and it feels good.

Def need the weather to cooperate! Going on doe patrol in an urban area on the 18th. Looking to get the freezer stocked up again, just used my last couple roasts to make jerky.

My wife just told me 10 lbs of ground left. We rarely buy beef. Just use deer ground steaks roast whole shoulders

don't be ashamed... At least you got a buck. hell, I have yet to shoot a deer with a bow and the last time I killed a deer was 5 yrs ago and it was a doe rifle tag. That's the joys of public hunting, starting learn the deer movement where I'm at and hopefully get the right tree without getting winded again. As soon as I get this Big Boars head out of my freezer I'll have plenty of room for 1 deer..

Any tagged punched is an accomplishment! I def like to try and kill some does early then focus on a buck, then go back to doe killin late season. Plans usually don’t work out but that’s how I like to try and do it.

    CONFUSED:
so a hunter just shot a small buck and it was only 5 pts,, yet you shoot a doe and its 50.. can someone explain that to me please.

Ok I think it means 5pt antler deer... NOT 5 points
    need to find the rules

Yeah if a buck scores under 50 you just get 50 points lol same as a doe. And yeah I feel ya on the public hunting. It’s a blast when you figure it all out though man. Comes full circle. I’m very lucky to be in the area I am in. Very rarely go and not see a deer at least. Last year I saw NOTHING but nice bucks and a hand full of little bucks. Maybe saw 8 doe all year long. Nothing to complain about for sure ha. In Ohio we are only allowed to shoot one doe all year on public land so I’m hoping I fill that tag right off the get go and go back into the same areas I had encounters last year!

Starting to get more bucks in daylight. The two biggest haven't shown themselves in light on camera yet, though. Based on what I saw on this property last year, I think I'll get to see all these bucks from the stand. It'll just be a matter of how close I can get to them.

Edit: the photos are being weird so I had to split them up. Some daylight ones here and I'll post the bigger deer that have been coming at night below.
