Oct. 2nd, with avg 70-80 deg. temps... hopefully we'll get an earlier cool down this yr. My goal is to stay hydrated enough, and keep the mosquito's off of me.

Ohio is 25th, Pa- WMA 2B is 9/18 and Statewide pa is 10/2. I’ll be out for a doe in 2B on opener, should be a slam dunk in the suburbs, but I know better then that!

We’re getting there gentlemen! Anyone run trail cameras? Any pics of target bucks? I personally don’t. After years of trying and never really harvesting any deer I have pictures of, coming back to dead cameras with a cleared sd card, and just the fact I was doing more harm than good I decided to quit using them. Plus honestly I kind of like the element of surprise ha

I got some good ones running around the farm in Pa, I didn’t put any cams out in Ohio, I usually do but didn’t this year. Been hunting the same prop for 10 years and know how the deer use the prop for the most part. Comes down to being at the right place at right time, I wasted 5 years hunting one buck out there and passed a bunch of good ones. Told myself I’m not gonna do that anymore on public haha.

What broadhead you all taking to the woods this year? I been a slick trick guy for a very long time, standard for elk and mags for deer. I have some Muzzy Trocar HB I’m gonna try out this year, was looking for a larger cut with still guaranteed blades. Seemed like the best hybrid out there.

I've been running a few cell cams the last few years. I have a few Spartans and a few Tactacam Reveals. I really like the fact that I don't have to check them like regular trail cams and risk bumping deer. Battery life has really improved in these cameras and they last for months. I don't have any big bucks on camera here in PA but I do take them with me to Kansas and use them to pattern bucks out there. Also, I use them on my property here in PA to catch trespassers. I had more than a few occasions where I would get an alert on my phone, see a pic of a trespasser and then have time to confront them before they leave.
