    Back in iowa after spending a long weekend camping in Colorado with my family. We see elk, moose, and mule deer. So much fun. Good luck to you guys hunting. Season opens here on October 1. I’ll be taking my daughter out after the 17th for youth season.

    That’s an actual ag field. My plot is still fenced off! Can’t be letting them eat in safety just yet! Where this buck is at will be my main property. Where our beans are we have to be careful not to over hunt it since it’s only a 40 acre piece.

    Due to my work schedule, I don't get to hunt as often as l'd like. I usually work 6 days a week. I tried to schedule vacation during the rut but didn't get it this year. I will be off the first week of October and the week before Christmas. I plan to get someone to cover for me opening day, September 24th. I also have over 1600 hours sick leave. I feel a stiff neck coming on the first part of November.

    I’d also say the 8, but they’re probably pretty close. That 8 has some great character though, those main beams look like they almost touch.
