Checking In! I hunt central west Illinois. Probably going to shoot anything that moves this year. Days are starting to get limited in the primetime late OCT-early NOV due to new job. I will fight through late season as usual if it is necessary.

I've bought a non-resident tag for Oklahoma for the past several. The Cherokee tribe reverted to the original treaty giving tribal members hunting rights within the boundaries of the nation without buying a license. Saves me $280. My son-in-law owns 300 acres and leases 1000 acres. As far as I know, my son and I are the only people bowhunting it.

If someone did that anytime during the last two years you shouldn’t see them in the contest this year. That is unless it happened and I missed it.

I'll be hunting MN and SD this year, MN opens in 2 weeks, SD opened today. Usually don't hunt SD til later in the season. I hunt a mixture of private and public in both states. I have one camera out I left at my cousins farm from last season its still sending pics nothing really good yet. Gonna try and get a few cameras out this weekend.

This is not as clear, but I don’t believe it’s the same buck. A40C96FA-1A30-45DA-AADB-50C7ADB05C8D.png

Season starts September 24th in Arkansas and October 1st in Oklahoma. Probably hanging a new stand in Oklahoma this weekend and doing a little lane clearing on some existing stands.

Busted some doves today! Was a really good time, had about 250 people in the sunflower field I have been up keeping. It was my dog’s first dove hunt and he fetched about 25 birds for me and all the people around me! Was thrilled with how good he did out in the heat with lots of shots going off around us.

Hung a stand today and did some lane clearing. This guy was bedded down as we were come out. He never stood up I guess he thought he was well hidden. [IMG]
