I have 2 in the freezer, so back out with my bow. My stand is surrounded by big rubs. We seen a big 8 pt, a real nice 10 pt and an absolute stud in this patch of woods. It's too close to houses to use a gun. Hope to seal the deal on one this afternoon. 20221127_140445.jpg

I only saw 1 deer just before dark. I plan to hunt again in the morning. Hope this guy comes cruising by shortly after sunrise. STC_0024.jpg

I’ve been having issues posting on here and it’s driving me insane. Hopefully I got it to work now. I shot a buck on Saturday. Not one of the bucks I was after but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Lots of snort wheezing going on. Scored right at 133. Won’t let me post pictures now…

Nor on the scorecard? PM Little Chief. He can help you out. If you PM one of us, maybe we can try first, as well. Up to you, but either way congratulations soccerdan90!

He’s posted! Congrats on the bucks guys! Sorry I haven’t been posting. I’ve been trying for awhile to get in here and it would say I didn’t have permission to post. So aggravating. 1st Shotgun season starts this weekend but I have drill so I won’t be going. I have a doe tag for 2nd shotgun and will be buying a late muzzleloader any sex tag. Bought a new muzzleloader and it’s shooting great. 3 shots at 150 yards all within an inch! Going to be sitting over our soybean plot with it in hand!

Headed to the stand now for the evening hunt. Yesterday my son took his youngest, Aubree for her first set. She's 6 and only made it an hour but it's a start. Resized_20221203_144444(1).jpg

Stick with it. A few does and bucks missed now will be a lifetime of hunting companionship and family memories.

Well, should be healed up enough to get back out this weekend.
Got a new to me Elite Remedy dialed in today. Ready to let it eat.

Nothing too serious, just something I’ve been putting off for a few years. Too many years in a pickup truck and poor diet. Old guys will know what I’m talking about! Course, my 34 year old son had the same surgery yesterday.

I put out another camera in my honey hole. When I hunted it Sunday afternoon, I saw tons of fresh buck sign. Evenings have been tough the past couple of weeks with very little deer movement. I'm anxious to see what bucks made it through rifle season. I plan to hunt Sunday morning. I'm also on vacation the week before Christmas. Should be a good week for 2nd rut peaking.
